A vehicle reported stolen Tuesday, March 21, was found parked and unoccupied on the parking lot at Holiday Inn at 2781 N. Westwood Blvd. at 8:38 p.m. Friday, March 24. The owner said a family member recognized the jeep and called them, according to the report. The vehicle was released to the owner at the scene.

An adult female reported at 3:28 p.m. Friday, March 24, her husband damaged her vehicle, and threatened to kill her and her unborn child at their residence in the 900 block of West Spring Street. She said her husband was a non-compliant sex offender, according to the report. This matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecuting Attorney for review.

Richard Benson reported at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 24, his truck was stolen after his daughter loaned it to a friend. The truck was found abandoned on the lot at Barker’s Towing at 3004 S. Westwood Blvd. Several parts had been stolen from the truck, according to the report.

Shai Hathaway, 28, of Poplar Bluff, was booked at 3:26 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at the police department on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses. Hathaway was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Kimberly Davis, 30, of Poplar Bluff, was booked at 10:07 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the police department on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on code violations. Davis was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

Tyler Hadley, 23, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 10:55 pm Saturday, March 25, during a traffic stop in the 600 block of West Victor Street. Hadley was booked on a probation/parole warrant for probation violation into the Butler County jail.

Officers responded to a single vehicle accident at 11:31 p.m. Saturday, March 25, on Highway 60 at Highway B. A truck reportedly left the road and came to a rest in a ditch on the side of the road. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

Kimerly Roberts, 29, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 4:27 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the police department on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on no insurance. She was released on bond.

Whitney McGee reported at 5:17 p.m. Sunday, March 26, a friend refused to return her 2008 Saturn after she loaned it to him.

A disobedient child was brought to the police department by the child’s parents at 5:26 p.m. Sunday, March 26. The juvenile office recommended the parents take the child to the hospital for an evaluation, but the child refused and threatened to jump out of the car on the way, according to the report. The child was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in a patrol car, and broke the door handle on the way. The child was released to emergency room staff.

Officers responded at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, March 26, to Harper Street at North 11th Street for a report that someone had flourished a gun. Adults and juveniles at the scene said a juvenile displayed the gun during a confrontation between two groups of juveniles, according to the report. When an adult male intervened, the suspect drew the weapon and pointed it at him, witnesses said. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody nearby and he was taken to the police department. The pistol was not recovered. The juvenile suspect had an outstanding warrant through Missouri Department of Youth Services, and he was released to their custody at the station.

A juvenile reported at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, March 26, he was bitten by two pit bulls running at large on North 12th Street.

Darion Kinder, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:43 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Jay’s Corner Store, 1040 S. Broadway. Kinder was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on possession of a controlled substance and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jesse Thurner, 35, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Monday, March 27, in the 300 block of North Broadway. Thurner was booked on possession of amphetamine and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on code violations. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jason McGee, 49, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:02 am Monday, March 27, in the 1700 block of South Broadway. McGee was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of trespassing, property damage, stealing and resisting arrest. McGee was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.
