James Hays reported at noon Wednesday, June 7, a former tenant returned to his rental property in the 800 block of North Grand Avenue. The former tenant was banned from the property, and a disabled blue 2006 Cadillac passenger vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.

Officers responded at 2:36 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, to Poplar Bluff Full Gospel Fellowship Church for a report that plastic letters on their marquee had been rearranged to an offensive message. The letters were removed and returned to the church.

Randall Burgess, 40, of Poplar Bluff was booked in at the police department at 3:14 a.m. Thursday, June 8, on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense with a $500 bond. Burgess was unable to post bond, and he was released on his own recognizance.
