Steven Higgins, 56, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Division of Probation/Parole at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Rd. Higgins was booked in on a warrant for parole violation with no bond and he was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a white 2017 pickup at 9:24 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, as it fled the scene of a large fight in the parking lot at Five Below at 3055 Oak Grove Rd. The truck traveled east on Hwy 60 then turned onto T Hwy, and the pursuit was terminated.

Officers responded at 9:14 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2300 block of Perkins Drive. The parties involved said they argued, but there had been no violence. No injury was reported.

An adult male was detained at 1:57 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, after he was found cutting electrical wire from a utility box at a vacant property in the 600 block of West Pine Street. The suspect was identified and released, and the property owner said they would contact the police department if they decided to press criminal charges.

A bicycle was found abandoned at 3:02 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, on Westwood Boulevard at Poplar Street. The bicycle was placed into evidence until the owner claims it.
