James Clopton reported at 7:36 a.m. Thursday, July 27, his daughter ran away overnight from a residence in the 1900 block of Iowa Street. The investigation determined the juvenile had gone to her mother’s house.

An employee at Save-A-Lot reported at 8:27 a.m. Thursday, July 27, a male subject stole food items from the store. The theft was captured on video.

Duquion Drake, 25, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:24 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at his residence in the 100 block of Big Eddy Road. Drake was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on traffic and code violations and he was released on bond.

An adult male suffered minor injury at 9:37 a.m. Thursday, July 27, in a bicycle accident on Bartlett Street. His mother took him to the emergency room for treatment of his injury.

Officers responded at 10:47 a.m. Thursday, July 27, to Shelby Road at Three Rivers Boulevard for an adult male crawling on the sidewalk. EMS responded but he refused medical assistance.

Kasey Hulsey reported at 11:03 a.m. Thursday, July 27, her estranged husband had been harassing her in violation of a protection order. The matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

Joaquin Diviney, 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:43 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at Taco Bell at 108 S. Westwood Blvd. At the time of Diviney’s arrest, a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine was found in his pocket, according to the report. Diviney was booked on a Butler County warrant for probation violation with a $20,000 cash-only bond and possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

The police department received a message Thursday, July 27, from the National Instant Background Check System (NICS) that a firearm transfer at a local gun shop was denied.

Neal Gale, 52, of Poplar Bluff and Anthony Tarvin, 50, of Poplar Bluff were arrested at 4:33 p.m. Thursday, July 27, during a traffic stop on North Main Street. Gale was booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tarvin was booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released pending review by the prosecutor.

Justin Summers reported at 5:43 p.m. Thursday, July 27, someone broke the window of a storm door at his residence in the 1500 block of Truman Street.

Jason Sutton and Jacy Featherston reported at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, July 27, Corey Dean (Featherston’s ex-boyfriend) confronted them on a parking lot in the 3200 block of Oak Grove Road and flourished a handgun. Featherston drove from the scene, and Dean chased them to the parking lot at Poplar Bluff High School, according to the report. When Featherston stopped, Dean allegedly struck the car window with the handgun.

Corey Dean, 40, of Charleston was arrested Thursday, July 27, by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and was transported to Poplar Bluff. Dean was booked in on charges of assault fourth degree, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Kevin Tyler reported at 7:27 p.m. Thursday, July 27, he received threatening messages from a family member.

Robert Ford, 45, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:54 p.m. Thursday, July 27, during a traffic stop on North Westwood Boulevard. Ford was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on traffic with a $250 bond. Ford was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Alex Armour, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, July 27, on Winnie Street. Armour was booked in on a charge of possession of amphetamine. He was released pending review by the prosecutor.
