A silver 2003 Ford Explorer was towed at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, from a traffic stop on Highway 53 after it was determined it had no license plates and the driver could not provide proof of insurance. The driver was released at the scene and traffic tickets were mailed to their last known address.

A forged prescription for a controlled substance was presented at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at East Side Pharmacy at 400 East Pine Street. The prescription was not filled.

Alicia Ross, 36, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 3:06 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on an animal control violation and she was released on her own recognizance.

David Simpson, 22, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Simpson was booked in on a Jefferson County warrant for a traffic violation and Boone County warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses and domestic assault fourth degree ($2,500 bond). He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Michael Blaise, 50, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, during a traffic stop on South Fifth Street. Blaise was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense ($500 bond). He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, to a residence in the 900 block of West Spring Street for a domestic disturbance. Kasondra Tuck reported her child assaulted her and threatened siblings during a confrontation. The matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Ronnetta Taylor, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:28 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, during at traffic stop on Lindsay Street. Taylor was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on assault and traffic offenses ($2,000 bond). She was released on her own recognizance.

Officers responded at 8:41 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, to a residence in the 2600 block of East Avondale for a domestic disturbance. No injury was reported and neither party wanted to press charges.

Batton was booked in on a Butler County warrant for aggravated assault ($25,000 bond) and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses ($500 bond). He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Christina Clark, 33, of Poplar Bluff was detained at 11:08 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Clark was issued a criminal summons for stealing and she was released at the scene.

Angelic Sheridan, 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, during a traffic stop which stemmed from the investigation of a theft complaint at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Sheridan was booked in a charge of stealing and a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on shoplifting ($500 bond). She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Tina Parker reported at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, her car was damaged during a confrontation the night before on the parking lot at Mike’s Resale at 10145 E. Harper St.

Officers responded at 2:47 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, to a residence in the 900 block of Mulberry Street for a report that three persons at the residence were suffering from drug overdose. Two doses of Narcan were administered to each victim and all three recovered before EMS arrival. Two victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital, and one refused further medical assistance.

Deborah Knapp, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, during a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Westwood Boulevard. Knapp was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on stealing ($2,500 bond) and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Mariah and Clayton Swofford reported at 10:37 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, their vehicle was struck while it was parked at their residence in the 1800 block of North Fifth Street. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark sport utility vehicle.
