An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported on Dec. 15 finding a threatening message written on the wall of a bathroom stall. The student who wrote the message was detained and was taken to the Juvenile Office.

A 2004 Chevrolet Malibu was towed from the scene of a traffic stop Dec. 15 on North Second Street at Pine Street after the driver was unable to provide proof of insurance. The driver was released at the scene with traffic citations.

An employee at Bluff Custom Muffler at 1530 N. Main St. reported at 9:55 a.m. on Dec. 15, a truck was stolen from their lot. The truck was described as an orange 1988 Chevrolet pickup belonging to Extreme Clean Auto Sales.

An employee at Sonic Drive-In at 1407 S. Broadway reported at 10:52 a.m. on Dec. 15, a white male in a gray SUV stole a food order.

An adult female reported at 12:33 p.m. on Dec. 15, she suffered serious injury when she was assaulted at her residence in the 900 block of Vine Street. She knew the suspects and said they attacked her after entering her home uninvited. The investigation continues.

William Massey was arrested at 1:41 p.m. on Dec. 15, at the probation/parole community supervision center at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Rd. Massey was booked in on a warrant for probation violation. No bond was set and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Benjamin Pratt, 24, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at his residence at 3:04 p.m. on Dec. 15, in the 1500 block of Alice Street. Pratt was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on failure to register a motor vehicle. A $50 bond was set. Pratt was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Alexis Wooden, 26, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested on at 4:56 p.m. Dec. 15, at Orscheln’s Farm Store at 2235 N. Westwood Blvd. Wooden was booked in on a charge of stealing and she was released pending review by the Butler County Prosecutor.

Zxavion Sredojevich reported at 6:43 p.m. on Dec. 15, his car was struck by a gold pickup in the intersection of North 10th Street and Cynthia Street. The gold pickup left the scene.

Alexious Thomas, 25, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 7:55 p.m. on Dec. 15, at her residence in the 1000 block of Franklin Street. Thomas was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on expired plates, a $50 bond was set. She was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

Benjamin Behear reported at 12:24 a.m. on Dec. 15, prescription medications missing from his room at Holiday Inn at 2781 N. Westwood Blvd.

Kristen Kempfer, 31, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. on Dec. 16, during a traffic stop on South Broadway. Kempfer was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on peace disturbance and no insurance, a $200 bond was set. Kempfer was not able to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

She’sa Williams reported at 12:59 a.m. on Dec. 16, the mailbox and porch light were vandalized at her residence in the 300 block of West Midland Street.
