Mark Murdock, 41, of Naylor was arrested at 11:39 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Kevin’s Auto Repair at 2700 Cravens Road. Murdock was booked on a Butler County warrant for DWI and a Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation. He was held at the Butler County jail.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High School reported at 12:06 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, a juvenile female student attacked another juvenile female student in the hallway and struck her repeatedly until a staff member intervened. The suspect was released to the juvenile office.

Officers responded at 1:21 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for a patient threatening staff. The patient was restrained and disarmed and was left in the care of the hospital. Efforts to locate the suspect failed and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

A black 1991 Ford pickup was towed from a traffic stop on Highway 53 at 1:29 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, after it was determined the vehicle was not insured and the driver’s license was revoked. Driver Darnell Dunson, 70, of Broseley was issued traffic tickets and released at the scene.

Leslie Goldsmith complained that an adult male acquaintance shot at him during a confrontation in the 200 block of Highway 53. The suspect fled the scene before the officers arrived.

Officers responded at 11:29 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, to a parking lot in the 600 block of North Main Street for a report of shots fired. Officers determined no shots had been fired, but that an adult female had been assaulted by a large crowd at the scene. The suspects left the scene prior to officer arrival.

Officers responded at 11:56 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, to a residence in the 1500 block of Grand Avenue for a report of shots fired. An adult male said he accidentally shot himself in the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers responded at 11:39 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, to an Ozark Behavioral Health residential care home in the 2300 block of Perkins Drive for a report that a patient assaulted two staff members and vandalized the house and two cars belonging to the staff members. The suspect injured his wrist and was taken by ambulance to the emergency room.

A blue 2011 Hyundai Elantra was towed from a traffic stop on Davis Street at 7:17 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, after it was determined the driver had no license and there was no proof of insurance on the vehicle. The driver was released at the scene and tickets were mailed to their residence.
