Jacob B. Samons, 24, of Doniphan was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (alcohol); no insurance; and no registration. He was booked at Ripley County jail.

David L. Peters, 56, of Essex was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, on a felony Dunklin County warrant; and suspicion of felony possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine); felony possession of controlled substance (hallucinogens); felony possession of controlled substance (alprazolam); possession of controlled substance (marijuana); and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked at Stoddard County Jail.

Robert B. Williams, 24, of Black, Missouri, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, prior offender; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

Christopher M. Grubb, 30, of Fremont was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

Karaston Delores Kirkley, 24, of the 300 block of West Victor reported that between 4:30-5:41 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, reported that a white male took a 2006 Jeep Liberty from her residence. According to a police report, the vehicle was later recovered around 6:10 p.m. from the area of Sycamore and G streets.

Cary J. Pankey, 37, of the 900 block of Pershing was arrested at 1:43 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at her residence on a warrant for a parole violation. She was booked at Butler County jail.

Mark Anthony Crossen, 43, of Broseley was booked at Butler County jail Friday, Aug. 23, on suspicion of illegally taking/killing/possessing wildlife and possession of a controlled substance, 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid. He was later released on bond.

__POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT__

City firefighters responded at 7:59 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, to a vehicle accident at 515 E. Pine St. According to the report, there were no injuries and firefighters cleared the scene.

City firefighters responded at 11:24 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, to 3105 Warrior Lane to a report of a smoke alarm sounding from an unoccupied apartment. Residents had been evacuated from the building when firefighters arrived. Entry was made through a window and a faulty alarm was disengaged. Other alarms were tested and firefighters cleared the scene.

City firefighters responded at 9:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, to the area of Fifth and Park where a natural gas leak was reported. Personnel with Spire reported the leak was resolved and firefighters cleared the scene.
