Officers responded Monday, Aug. 19 to the 2300 Block of Kentucky Street about property damage. The victim discovered the back glass to her vehicle was shattered when she got up this morning. There were no witnesses or suspects at this time.

Officers responded Monday, Aug. 19 to Velma Street about a domestic dispute over a set of keys. One party had already left when officers arrived and told officers her ex-boyfriend pulled up and tried to steal her vehicle. Contact was made with the ex-boyfriend and his version of what took place was different. He stated he lied to her in the past about having a spare key to her vehicle. Both were advised of the Missouri domestic violence law.

Christina Clark, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Monday, Aug. 19 on a warrant through Poplar Bluff City. Clark was booked and released on an OR Bond.

Officers responded Monday, Aug. 19 to Dollar General on 53 Highway about a shoplifter. Contact was made with an employee who wanted both Kelvin Rivera and Christina Clark trespassed from the business. Both were advised and escorted off the property.

Officers responded Monday, Aug. 19 to the 2300 Block of Kentucky about a Domestic Assault. The suspect Antiwaan Smoot, 36, of Malden was arrested and transported to booking. Smoot was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Daniel Chatman was identified Monday, Aug. 19 as stealing a package off a victim’s front porch. A citation will be mailed to Chatman’s address.

Officers responded Monday, Aug. 19 to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center to assist with an unruly patient. Officers were able to safely assist the patient in getting to the designated room without incident.
