Jeremy Crews reported at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, an ex-girlfriend refused to return his juvenile daughter after a confrontation at the suspect’s residence in the 700 block of Lester Street. Crews also complained that the suspect’s boyfriend struck him in the face. Officers spoke with the suspect and she returned the child to Crews’ custody. The matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

Ronald Deprow reported at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, his wife assaulted him during an argument at their residence in the 2000 block of Wasson Drive.

Hannah Spears reported at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, children had been knocking on doors late in the evening in her neighborhood, and they damaged the screen door of her residence in the 300 block of North D Street.

Angela Watson-Carter, 52, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:44 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, during the investigation of a single-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Spring String. Watson-Carter was booked on charges of DWI (drugs) and leaving the scene of an accident. She was released on summons.

Gina Ginnocchio reported at 9:01 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, someone vandalized a residence in the 600 block of North Main Street.

Candace Lee reported at 10:06 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, a house guest took her green Toyota Prius from her residence in the 500 block of South D Street and did not return it.

Harlie Rhamy reported at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, someone slashed a tire on her car while it was parked in the 500 block of Bartlett Street.

An adult male was arrested at 12:57 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at his residence in the 900 block of Mulberry Street. The suspect was booked on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Anthony G. Arnold, 59, of Wappapello was arrested at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, in Wayne County on warrants for failure to appear on the following: operating a motor vehicle with no license (three warrants), no insurance (two warrants), driving while suspended and careless and imprudent driving, and also on suspicion of no insurance. He was booked at the Wayne County jail.
