Joseph Escue reported at 7:47 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, the windshield of his car was damaged with a BB gun while it was parked in the driveway of his residence in the 300 block of West Victor Street.

Miles Palmer, 32, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, during a traffic stop on Vine Street. Palmer was booked on charges of possession of amphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending review by the prosecutor.

Craig Harkness reported at 3:42 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, he was robbed at gunpoint at JD’s Quick Stop at 1529 N. Main St. The suspect took Harkness’ cell phone and fled on foot.

An employee at Huck’s at 703 N. Westwood Blvd. reported at 3:39 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, an adult male stole merchandise from the store on two separate occasions on Aug. 14. The manager did not press criminal charges, but the suspect was banned from the property.

Two women sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at the intersection of U.S. 160 and Highway B near Fairdealing.
According to the report, Betty J. Hampton, 85, of Fairdealing was operating a 2006 Chrysler 300 eastbound when it struck the rear of a stopped 2016 Ford Escape operated by Joseph R. Smith-Perryman, 25, of Broseley.
Hampton and a passenger in the Escape, Samantha G. Chism, 25, of Doniphan, were both transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Alex D. Armour, 31, of Wappapello was booked at the Butler County jail Monday, Aug. 14, on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was released later that day.
