Officers made contact with a victim Thursday, Aug. 14, about a stolen cell phone. The victim stated he left his cell phone at Mike’s Resale about nine days ago. The victim went to pick up his cell phone and was advised it had been stolen. No suspects at this time.

Carolyn Thomas, 56, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Thursday, Aug. 14, for domestic assault and was lodged in the Butler County jail. Charges were sent to the Butler County prosecutor’s office.

Officers responded to Save-A-Lot Thursday, Aug. 14, about a Shoplifter. The suspect, an unidentified female, stole a bag of Pizza Rolls and left the store. This investigation is ongoing.

Jamaal Gill, 23, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Thursday, Aug. 14, on a city warrant. Gill was released on an own recognizance bond after being processed.

Officers made contact with a victim Thursday, Aug. 14, at the front desk of the police station about lost or stolen license plates. The victim stated he last saw his plates on his vehicle on Aug. 10. The plates were entered into MULES as Stolen.

Officers responded Thursday, Aug. 14, to the 1700 block of Garfield Street about an unresponsive male. EMS arrived and administered NARCAN and the subject became responsive and refused any further medical treatment.

Officers responded Thursday, Aug. 14, to Home Depot about a couple shoplifting in the store. Contact was made with Liam McGiveny and Kiersten Skiles as they exited the store. The stolen merchandise was recovered and both were trespassed from the store.

Bryant Brown, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Thursday, Aug. 14, during a traffic stop on an outstanding warrant through P&P Office with no bond. Brown was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Thursday, Aug. 14, to the 2200 block of Ruth Street about a domestic dispute. Contact was made with two brothers and both advised it was just a verbal argument and nothing physical. Neither party wished to pursue charges and was advised of the Missouri domestic violence statute.
