Llewellyn K. Borders Jr., 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:49 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, in Dunklin County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol). He was released.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, on County Road 160W-17, 20 miles west of Doniphan.

According to the report, Brady J. Paris, 19, of Doniphan was operating a 2006 Buick Rendezvous southbound when it traveled off the road and overturned.

Paris sustained moderate injuries, while a passenger, Jacob W. Yandell, 19, of Doniphan sustained minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 41-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 3 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, on Highway HH, five miles east of Neelyville.

According to the report, Timothy M. Tutor, 41, of Corning, Arkansas was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson westbound when it failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

Tutor was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Christopher L. Williams, 38, of Malden was arrested at 6:21 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, in New Madrid County on suspicion of felony DWI (aggravated offender) and exceeding the posted speed limit. He was released.

James P. McIntire, 36, of Wappapello was arrested at 8:04 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, in Butler County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol), failure to drive on the right half of the road and no valid driver’s license. He was released.

Thomas Eskridge, 56, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at a residence in the 600 block of Charles Street. Eskridge was booked on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A plastic bag with a white powder was found at 4:09 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, on the floor at Huck’s at 703 N. Westwood Blvd. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine and was placed into evidence for destruction.

Cody Grogan reported at 10:43 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, he recovered his stolen silver 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 1600 block of Spring Street. The truck had been stolen by an adult male acquaintance earlier in the day, and Grogan did not want to press charges.

Eric Starnes reported at 10:46 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, someone broke a window of his white 2001 Ford Ranger while it was parked at his residence in the 1000 block of Ivadene Street.

A pink handbag found lying on the side of the road on North Westwood Boulevard was turned in at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the front desk of the police department.

Brandon Lloyd, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:48 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, during the investigation of a motor vehicle accident on North Westwood Boulevard. He was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on several counts of driving while suspended or revoked and no insurance. Lloyd was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

Officers assisted Missouri Children’s Division at 1:08 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, in the investigation of a child abuse/neglect hotline investigation at a residence in the 400 block of Karen Drive.

Officers responded at 5:16 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, to a report of a domestic disturbance on the parking lot at Orscheln at 2235 N. Westwood Blvd. No injury was reported and no charges were filed.

Carey Bailey, 44, of Jonesboro was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Comfort Inn at 2582 N. Westwood Blvd. Bailey was booked on a charge of resisting arrest and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Julius Hightower, 48, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, during a traffic stop on West Pine Street. Hightower was booked on a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers initiated a traffic stop at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, on an orange and green Slingshot motorcycle with Tennessee license plates after the department received complaints of careless driving. The vehicle fled and a brief motor vehicle pursuit ended when officers lost contact with it in a residential area.

Officers responded at 11:54 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, to a fight at a residence in the 700 block of North 10th Street. An argument between an adult male and a juvenile male related to each other reportedly escalated into a fight. The two were separated when officers arrived, and the matter was referred to the municipal court and Juvenile Office.

Christopher Davis, 25, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on stealing. Davis was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

An employee at Planet Fitness reported at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, a customer threatened to assault them. The customer was banned from the property.

Officers responded at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, to a residence in the 500 block of South C Street for a juvenile suffering a mental health crisis. The juvenile reportedly knocked over an infant in a high-chair and had previously threatened an adult family member with a hammer and edged weapons. The juvenile was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and a child abuse/neglect hotline report was submitted to Children’s Division.
