An adult female reported at 9:02 a.m. Thursday, April 27, her boyfriend struck her with the battery pack from his ankle monitor. The matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High School reported at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, a juvenile student made a veiled threat to another student. No specific threat of violence was made, and the suspect insisted they were not going to hurt anyone. The matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Jeffery Casey, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:13 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Probation/Parole Community Supervision Center at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Road. Casey was booked in on a warrant for parole violation with no bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Mabel Dare reported at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 27, someone broke into a garage on her property in the 1000 block of Lester Street.

A yellow Chevrolet passenger vehicle was impounded and towed at 6:06 p.m. Thursday, April 27, from a traffic stop on Victor Street after it was determined the driver had no license and the vehicle was not insured. The driver was issued tickets for driving while revoked and no insurance and he was released at the scene.

Tiffany Mares, 32, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 9:08 p.m. Thursday, April 27, on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on a trash violation with a $250 bond. Mares was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

Julie McCranie reported at 8:10 a.m. Friday, April 28, an ex-boyfriend stole a battery and air compressor from her vehicle while it was parked at her residence in the 800 block of Ash Street.

An employee at Mizell’s Auto Sales at 1105 Herschel Bess Boulevard reported at 8:05 a.m. Friday, April 28, a silver 2005 Ford pickup was taken from their lot. The truck was recovered by Missouri State Highway Patrol during the investigation of a motor vehicle accident on County Road 456, according to reports.
