An employee of the Poplar Bluff Junior High reported at 7:49 a.m. Friday, April 19, a student had possessed a vape containing hash oil. The vape was seized for destruction and the case was referred to the juvenile office.

Howard Stacy, 45, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:50 a.m. Friday, April 19, at McLane Park. Stacy was booked on the charge of possession of a controlled substance and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Brandon Hart, 36, of Poplar Bluff and Angela Howell, 34, of Wappapello were arrested at 2:29 p.m. Friday, April 19, in the 300 block of South B Street. Hart was booked on a Butler County warrant for possession of a controlled substance ($25,000) and a warrant through Probation and Parole for a parole violation/absconder (no bond). Hart was also booked on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine precursors. Howell was booked on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine precursors. Hart and Howell were lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee of Revive Resale reported at 3:38 p.m. Friday, April 19, a female customer attempted to pass a $100 counterfeit bill at the business.

Officers investigated an endangering the welfare of a child incident at 2:55 p.m. Friday, April 19, after a wellness check was made on children in the 1500 block of South Broadway. The case has been referred to the Butler County prosecutor’s office.
