A 51-year-old Puxico man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, on Highway J at Highway 51, five miles south of Puxico.

According to the report, Jamie B. Howard was operating a 2006 Dodge pickup westbound when he failed to stop at the intersection and continued straight, striking an embankment.

Howard suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Two area residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 5:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, on Highway 114, one mile south of Huntersville, in Stoddard County.

According to the report, Roberta A. Bohnsack, 64, of Essex was operating a 2018 Buick southbound when it ran off the road and then struck a ditch and utility pole.

Bohnsack and her 12-year-old passenger, Thunder J. Hicks of Morehouse, suffered minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

A 31-year-old Fisk woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, on Highway V, two miles west of Harviell.

According to the report, Tamra G. Stievenart was operating a 2012 Jeep Liberty eastbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Stievenart suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 14-year-old Puxico resident was injured in an all-terrain-vehicle crash at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, on County Road 483 at Highway J in Stoddard County.

According to the report, Drake J. Guffy was operating a 2016 Polaris Ranger northbound when he lost control, and it ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

Guffy suffered serious injuries and was flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Bradley A. Boyd, 39, of Ellsinore was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in Carter County on a Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrant for driving while revoked. He was booked at the Poplar Bluff Police Department.

Allen, 48, of Dexter was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, failure to drive on the right half of the road and no seat belt and a Wayne County warrant for driving while intoxicated. He was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

Michael D. Hurt, 54, of Piedmont was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Four area teenagers were injured in an all-terrain-vehicle crash at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, on Hagy Road, just outside the Dexter City limits.

According to the report, Austin C. Parker, 14, of Dexter was operating a 2015 Polaris Ranger eastbound when he made a U-turn and lost control of the vehicle, which overturned.

Two of Parker’s passengers, Montavious J. Cole, 16, of Malden and Brandon L. Hamilton, 16, of Dexter, suffered minor injuries.

Two other passengers, Ken D. Davis, 15, of Malden and Avin L. Vincint, 13, of Dexter, suffered moderate injuries. The teens were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Portell, 29, of Success, Ark., was arrested at 6:21 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, on a Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrant for drug possession and a Ripley County warrant for probation violation on the original charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Stuart S. Kinsey of the 200 block of County Road 560 reported his vehicle was entered while it was parked at Palace of Praise in the 1400 block of Herschel Bess Boulevard between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.

According to the report, Kinsey’s wallet, backpack and laptop were stolen.

Kinsey later reported his credit card had been used multiple times, including at Jimmy Johns in the 3100 block of Oak Grove Road.

Gregory D. Vaughn of the 800 block of Wilcox Road reported his truck was entered between the evening of Friday, Sept. 6, and the morning of Saturday, Sept. 7.

According to the report, his checkbook, wallet, debit/credit cards, identification and money were stolen.

Rayna Marie Haggerty of the 1500 block of Grand Avenue reported Sunday, Sept. 8, that her daughter’s 2008 Buick Enclave had been stolen sometime during the prior night.

Dolly G. Nelson of the 1900 block of Wilson Street reported her home was forcibly entered between 12:30 and 4:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Sandra L. Tristan of the 1900 block of South Broadway reported her 2018 Boom mo-ped was stolen from her residence between 8 and 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.

Cody Sandoval reported at about 5:25 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, that he found Sonic in the 1400 block of South Broadway had been forcibly entered.

According to the report, officers searched the building, and no one was found inside.

Surveillance video showed a black male, wearing a long-sleeve shirt with hood and light colored shorts, entered the business at 4:25 a.m. The suspect reportedly walked directly to the front counter area, where he stole money from the register area.

A detective with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division processed the scene.
