MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Two area residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, on U.S. 60 at Highway 99 at Birch Tree in Shannon County.

According to the report, Patsy J. Pruett, 26, of Mountain View was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze northbound when it pulled into the path of a 1994 Chevrolet pickup being driven eastbound by Zachary P. Vermillion, 32, of Fremont.

Vermillion’s truck then reportedly ran off the road and overturned.

Vermillion suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy St. Francis Hospital at Mountain View for treatment.

Pruett suffered minor injuries and was to seek her own treatment.

A 77-year-old Kennett man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, on U.S. 412 at County Road 431, two miles east of Kennett.

According to the report, Will M. Duboise was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Impala southbound when it pulled into the path of a 2014 Kia Soul being driven westbound by Thomas J. Lyell, 44, of Holcomb.

Duboise was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:26 p.m. by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell. He is the 45th fatality in Troop E this year.

Lyell suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti for treatment.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, on Highway 67, six miles south of Greenville.

According to the report, Ernest B. Kizer, 40, of St. Louis was operating a 2015 Cadillac Escalade southbound when it struck the rear towed unit of a 2009 GMC pickup being driven by Michael E. Ballew, 45, of Poplar Bluff.

Ballew suffered moderate injuries and was flown to St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.

Kizer’s passengers, a 9-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, both of St. Louis, suffered minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Brandon A. Henson, 26, of Patterson was arrested at 6:01 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, on two Wayne County failure to appear warrants for no insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Pamela Marie Jaco, 48, of the 1000 block of Gardner Street was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, Sept. 29, on a warrant for second-degree burglary.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Edward R. McComb, 37, of the 1100 block of Fairmont Street was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, in the 1500 block of North Main Street on a Butler County failure to appear warrant for third-degree domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Shekeena Marie Liau, 29, of the 900 block of Mill Street was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the intersection of Pine Street and Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of DWI (drugs), possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

STODDARD COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

BLOOMFIELD — Justin A. Litzler, 40, of Dexter was booked at the Stoddard County Jail on a warrant for third-degree domestic assault. He was released on bond.
