Officers conducted a traffic stop Thursday, Sept. 26, at the intersection of Kendall Drive and South 11th Street. During this traffic stop, it was discovered that the operator had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. Kami Anspach, 55, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Officers conducted a traffic stop Thursday, Sept. 26, at the intersection of Kinzer Street and South 5th Street. During this traffic stop, it was discovered that a passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding arrest warrant. Jessica Harrison, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Officers responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to a residence in the 1800 block of Arkansas Avenue in reference to stealing. It was determined that several items had been stolen from the outside area of the residence. This investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to a business in the 1200 block of Nth Westwood Boulevard in reference to loitering. It was determined that a subject had refused to leave when he was told, and an argument had followed between representatives of the business, and the loitering subject. The subject was formally trespassed from the property. This case is closed.

A school resource officer was notified Thursday, Sept. 26, of a possible assault at the between two juveniles, that occurred on school property. It was determined that a juvenile had assaulted another juvenile. This matter will be forwarded to the Butler County Juvenile Office.

Officers responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to a residence in the 800 block of Lester Street to assist another agency. While assisting another agency on scene, it was determined that two juveniles resided in the residence, and that their living conditions were of such a nature that it posed a risk to their health and wellbeing. Two suspects were identified, and charges are being sought through the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.

A school resource officer responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to a fight between juveniles, occurring on school property. It was determined that an argument had occurred between several juveniles, which resulted in one juvenile assaulting another and a fight then ensued. Officers separated the fighting parties. One juvenile resisted against the officers, and was taken into custody and transported to the Butler County Juvenile Office. This matter has been forwarded to the Butler County Juvenile Office.

Officers responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to a business in the 2300 block of South Broadway Street in reference to a wellbeing check on a subject that was appearing to be unconscious inside of a vehicle. It was determined that a subject had consumed illegal narcotics and had subsequently fallen asleep, and that the subject had narcotics paraphernalia and a controlled substance on their person at the time of contact. Lawrence Orum, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Charges are being sought through the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to an apartment in the 500 block of Oak Street in reference to a wellbeing check. One subject was determined to be suffering from a mental health crisis, and was a deemed to be a danger to themselves or others. The subject was taken into custody and transported to PBRMC for treatment. This case is closed.

Officers conducted a security check Thursday, Sept. 26, at a building located near the intersection of South Broadway Street and West Henry Street due to being aware that there had been trespassers on the property in the past. Officers located an individual that was sleeping inside of the building, which was posted “No Trespassing” and was not zoned for residential use. The subject initially misidentified to avoid arrest, but was determined to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Nicholas Anderson, 34, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Officers responded Thursday, Sept. 26, to a business in the 300 block of South Westwood Boulevard in reference to shoplifting. It was determined that a subject had exited the business with merchandise that wasn’t paid for and was apprehended on scene by staff, who recovered the merchandise, but that the subject then left the scene. The subject was located and taken into custody. Tiffany Glover, 31, of Broseley, was arrested for stealing. Charges are being sought through the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.
