Officers responded Wednesday, Sept. 18, to a residence in the 1300 block of Iron Bridge Road in reference to theft. It was determined that several things had gone missing from the residence. A suspect was identified and charges are being sought through the Poplar Bluff Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers responded Wednesday, Sept. 18, to a residence in the 1200 block of Ginger Street in reference to a burglary. It was determined that two firearms were missing from the residence. This investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded Wednesday, Sept. 18, to a business in the 400 block of Highway 53 in reference to shoplifting. It was determined that a subject had stolen merchandise from the store. The suspect was identified and apprehended and the merchandise was recovered. Charges are being sought through the Poplar Bluff Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers were flagged down by a subject Wednesday, Sept. 18, who wanted to make a report for lost or stolen property. It was determined that the subject was missing their cellphone, and that the subject did not want to pursue criminal charges in the event that a crime had occurred. This case is closed.

Officers conducted a traffic stop Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the intersection of North Main Street & North 9th Street, and during the course of the stop, it was determined that a passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. Carl Dailey, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant.

While patrolling Wednesday, Sept. 18, officers located a stolen motor vehicle in the 1000 block of Lester Street and conducted an investigation. The operator of the vehicle was determined to have a warrant for their arrest. William Gaines, 37, of Parma was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. The owner of the vehicle was contacted, and the vehicle was towed away at their request.
