A School Resource Officer received a report Tuesday, July 17, of a juvenile making threats against another juvenile. It was determined one juvenile had threatened another juvenile with physical harm. This matter was investigated and turned over to the school faculty for disciplinary considerations.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 17, to a residence in the 1000 block of Hart Street in reference to a possible drug overdose. It was determined that a subject had overdosed on a suspected illegal narcotic substance. The subject was treated for their symptoms by EMS and was transported for further treatment.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 17, to a business in the 3000 block of Oakgrove Road in reference to loitering. Upon arrival, the officers found the subject laying on the floor outside of the business. Jerry Sterling, 42, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested for multiple outstanding arrest warrants.

Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of S. C Street in reference to an unwanted guest. It was determined that a domestic assault had occurred, however, neither party wanted to pursue charges and both parties separated.

Oficers responded Tuesday, July 17, the 1900 block of S. Broadway Street to investigate reports of trespassing. While conducting this investigation, officers heard a verbal altercation and sounds of distress from a nearby apartment and responded to this incident. It was determined to have been a verbal dispute, and the investigation was concluded. Isaiah Johnson, 27, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for an outsanding arrest warrant.
