It was determined that the subject had been involved in a motor vehicle accident, where the other party had left the scene. A suspect was identified and charges are being sought through the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.

It was determined that a vehicle had been parked in the 1200 block of Sterling Drive and that another vehicle had struck the parked vehicle, and that the operator then left the scene. An accident report was conducted, and this investigation is ongoing.

It was determined that there was someone inside the building, and that the subject in question had damaged the building. Levi Whitney, 21, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for burglary 2nd degree and for an outstanding arrest warrant. Charges are being sought through the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers conducted a traffic stop Friday, Sept. 13, at the intersection of Vine Street and 9th Street to serve an arrest warrant. During the traffic stop, a suspected controlled substance was located inside of the vehicle, along with suspected drug paraphernalia. Jewayne Shaw, 33, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance and for an outstanding arrest warrant. Kristin Kempfer, 33, of Poplar Bluff was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance. Charges are being sought through the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.
