MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
An 18-year-old Alton resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on Highway 21, five miles east of Van Buren.
According to the report, Matthew B. Townsend was operating a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero southbound when he swerved to miss a deer, which caused his vehicle to run off the road. Townsend’s vehicle then struck several trees and a stop sign before coming to its final rest off the road.
Townsend suffered minor injuries and was to seek his own treatment.

A 48-year-old Neelyville man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on U.S. 67 at Highway 142 in Butler County.
According to the report, Paul K. Worley was operating a southbound 1993 Jeep Cherokee, which was slowing in traffic and was struck in the rear by a 2017 Kenworth being operated by Richard Riemersma, 64, of Morley, Wis.
Worley suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 31-year-old Malden woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on County Road 643, two miles east of Cape Girardeau.
According to the report, Amber M. Rogers was operating a 2001 Dodge pickup westbound when it ran off the left side of the road, struck a tree and came to rest in a creek bed.
Rogers suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Christopher S. Barrett, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 6:27 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on a Stoddard County warrant for possession of a controlled substance and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was booked at the Scott County Jail.

James A. Kirschner, 31, of Sullivan, Mo., was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, no insurance and no seat belt. He was booked at the Butler County jail and later released.

Vickie L. Campbell, 42, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Butler County jail and later released.

Rondald R. Fred, 72, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:57 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in Wayne County on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was released.

Kevin L. Gardner, 35, of Piedmont was arrested at 3:27 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident, no valid license and driving while intoxicated. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Duncan Brooke Paige, 26, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Sunday, Oct. 13, on warrants for parole violation and no valid license.

David Ray Roberts, 63, of the 1500 block of County Road 533 was booked at the Butler County jail Sunday, Oct. 13, on suspicion of first-degree trespassing.

Denise Leann Ross, 36, of the 100 block of Nooney Street was booked at the Butler County jail Saturday, Oct. 12, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana and on two failure to appear warrants for fraudulent use of a credit card and stealing and two warrants for stealing and delivery/possession of a controlled substance at a county jail.

Robert Lee Williford, 70, of Pocahontas, Ark., was booked at the Butler County jail Saturday, Oct. 12, on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was released on bond.

Daniel Ray Withers, 36, of Neelyville was arrested at 9:38 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the police station on four municipal failure to appear warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and two counts of driving while suspended. He was booked at the Butler County jail.
