Austin Wake of West Plains reported at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, that his Rent One truck had been struck from behind while stopped at a light on Westwood Boulevard. According to Wake, the driver of the other car did not stop and left the scene.

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:42 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, on Highway 25, two miles south of Dexter.
According to the report, a 2001 Oldsmobile driven by Loni M. Starks, 26, of Malden ran off the right side of the road, overturned and ejected Starks. She received moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Starks’ juvenile male passenger received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to PBRMC.

Two people suffered moderate injuries in an ATV crash at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, on Brown Road, one mile south of Van Buren.
According to the report, the driver, John E. Fletcher, 56, of Moro, Ill., failed to negotiate a turn and ran off the right side of the roadway. The ATV overturned and ejected Fletcher and a passenger, Patty J. Wallace, 51, of East Alton, Ill.
Fletcher was transported by helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, and Wallace was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
