Two Poplar Bluff teenagers were injured in a motor-vehicle crash at 11:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, near the intersection of Sunset Drive and Old Orchard Road.
According to the report, Frayser Keon Johnson, 15, of the 2300 block of Perkins was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Sunset when he allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection.
Johnson reportedly lost control of his car while he tried to make a turn to stay on Sunset, which caused his car to run off the left side of the road.
Johnson allegedly overcorrected, which caused his car to run off the right side of the road and strike a pile of tree trunks stacked in the yard of a residence in the 1700 block of Sunset Drive.
Johnson’s car then reportedly went airborne and flipped several times in the air before coming to rest on all four tires in the yard of Sunset Drive residence.
Rock(s) allegedly set in motion by Johnson’s car struck two unoccupied vehicles — a 2018 Toyota Pruis and a 2009 Toyota Corolla — parked in the home’s driveway.
Johnson believed he had broken his right ankle in the crash, while his passenger, Lamarius A. Thomas of the 600 block of Main Street, complained of his leg tingling.
Both were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
