Jamie L. Dugan, 19, of Piedmont was arrested at 6:16 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Dalton L. Besher, 27, of Piedmont was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, on two Wayne County failure to appear warrants for child neglect and traffic, two Wayne County warrants for probation violation on the original charges of stealing and resisting arrest and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Mandy A. Arthur, 45, of Doniphan was arrested at 1:17 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in Ripley County on suspicion of two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and Xanax) and possession of fewer than 10 grams of marijuana. She was released.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

James Michael Cohen of St. Louis was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 31, on warrants for resisting arrest and first-degree drug trafficking.

Robert Lee Conner, 35, of the 1000 block of Hart Street was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 31, on a warrant for parole violation.

Will Henry Hillis, 29, of the 300 block of Highway 158 was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 31, on suspicion of stealing.

Jason Stewart Pratt, 45, of Clarkton was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 31, on a warrant for first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.

Daniel W. Russell, 46, of the 1100 block of Bradley Street was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 31, on suspicion of stealing and four failure to appear warrants for display of false insurance, no proof of insurance and two counts of driving while revoked.

Toby Edward Lacy, 41, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 31, on a warrant for parole violation.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Aaron Lavon Sentell of the 400 block of Victor Street reported his shed was forcibly entered between noon Monday, Oct. 28, and about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

According to the report, hand tools and an air compressor were stolen.

A detective with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division processed the scene.

Steve L. Dogget of the 800 block of Kendall reported a tow-behind seed spreader was stolen between Wednesday, Oct. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 31.

Veronica Mae Lee of the 1300 block of County Road 339 reported her vehicle was entered between 10:50 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, while parked at 10Box.

According the report, Lee’s wallet, containing her and her children’s Social Security cards, identification and her birth certificate, was stolen.

An 87-year-old Poplar Bluff man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the intersection of Pine and Peach streets.

According to the report, Willis Adell May of the 1400 block of Highway AA was operating a 2002 Ford pickup eastbound in the inside lane on Pine Street and was crossing the Peach Street intersection.

At the same time, Don Erskine Spencer, 47, of Doniphan was operating a 2018 Nissan pickup, which was conducting a left turn from Peach onto Pine.

As May’s truck passed in truck of Spencer’s truck, Spencer allegedly accelerated, and his truck struck the side of May’s truck.

Spencer’s truck then reportedly left the right side of the road, and after striking a curb, it then struck a road sign before overturning, coming to rest on its top.

Spencer reportedly first told officers he thought he saw a turn signal on May’s truck and thought it was turning beside him.

Spencer further reported it all happened so quickly that he really wasn’t sure what happened.

May complained of pain to his back and left arm and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

STODDARD COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

BLOOMFIELD — Chad M. Parris, 41, of Dexter was booked at the Stoddard County Jail on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on bond.
