MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
Three area men were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, on County Road 534, one mile east of County Road 543, in Butler County.
According to the report, Gaylon L. Boyd, 51, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2002 Ford pickup westbound when it struck an eastbound 2002 Ford pickup head on.
Boyd suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The other driver, Richard A. Foster, 55, of Poplar Bluff, and his 36-year-old passenger, Donald A. Balz of Doniphan, also received minor injuries and were taken by private vehicle to the Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.
Boyd was arrested at 4:37 p.m. on suspicion of DWI, driving while suspended, no insurance, no seat belt and failure to drive on the right half of the road. He was released to medical personnel.

James Edward Bradley, 43, of the 200 block of Lee Avenue was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, May 5, on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault.

Ryan David Gholson, 27, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jai Tuesday, May 5, on a warrant for second-degree harassment. He was released on bond.

Kenneth Wayne Lock, 43, of the 3600 block of Westwood Boulevard was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, May 5, on a warrant for unlawful use of a weapon.

Ryan Ellis, 27, of the 400 block of Henry Street was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, May 5, on a warrant for parole violation.

Adam Troy Waltman, 55, of the 100 block of Red Robin Lane was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, May 5, on a failure to appear warrant for failure to register as a sex offender and a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Tyler Alan West, 34, of the 3200 block of Highway T was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, May 5, on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was released on bond.

Rashawn Leaundre Knighten, 24, of the 900 block of Mulberry Street was arrested at 2:02 p.m. Monday, May 4, on Highland Drive on suspicion of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Aaron Neil Willhite, 38, of the 1000 block of Kinzer Street was arrested at 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in the 1800 block of South Broadway on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation on an original assault charge. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

A 68-year-old Poplar Bluff man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:03 p.m. Monday, May 4, at the intersection of Pine Street and Broadway.
According to the report, Barbara Sue Beaty, 77, of the 600 block of South C Street was operating a 2010 Kia Soul eastbound on Pine Street in the outside lane.
At the same time, Virgil Miles Smith was operating a three-wheel motorcycle eastbound in the inside lane of Pine Street.
Beaty allegedly failed to maintain a single lane and struck Smith’s motorcycle in the left rear.
Smith’s motorcycle then reportedly rolled and came to rest in the intersection.
Smith was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

Two Piggott, Arkansas, women were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:26 p.m. Monday on the parking lot of Aldi in the 600 block of North Westwood Boulevard.
According to the report, Ray Ann Lampe, 42, of Qulin was operating a 2007 Mazda 6 eastbound on the parking lot.
At the same time, Olga Stephens, 63, of the 100 block of Bluff Canyon Road was operating a 2016 GMC Verano, which was pulling from a parking space to travel north.
Stephens’ SUV allegedly collided into the passenger side of Lampe’s car.
Stephens reported she did not see Lampe’s car when she pulled from her parking space.
Lampe’s passenger, Karen L. Hiatt, 71, complained of ankle pain and was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
Another passenger in Lampe’s vehicle, D’Nea Cheyene Wallace, 25, complained of neck pain, but was to seek her own treatment.
