A 15-year-old Van Buren resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, May 14, on County Road 306, four miles east of Van Buren.

According to the report, a 16-year-old female was operating a 2006 Toyota Corolla eastbound when she failed to negotiate a curve, which caused her car to run off the road and strike a tree.

A female passenger suffered minor injuries and was to seek her own treatment.

Chuck Anthony Bailey, 38, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, May 14, on warrants for violation of an order of protection and first-degree stalking. He was released on bond.

Vinetia Behkasue Samel, 32, of the 600 block of County Road 468 was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, May 14, on suspicion of fourth-degree domestic assault.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Aaron Nathan Sheehan, 38, of the 2100 block of Spring Street was arrested at 10:44 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the intersection of Gum and C streets on a Butler County warrant for no valid license, a Butler County failure to appear warrant for no insurance and a municipal failure to appear warrant for first-degree trespassing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Vadira A. Torrez of the 800 block of Apple Street reported her 2017 Dodge Charger was entered between 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14, and a ring was stolen.

Blair Elizabeth Palmer of the 1100 block of Pershing Street reported her unlocked 2008 GMC Acadia was entered between 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, and 6:50 a.m. Thursday, May 14.

According to the report, her purse was stolen. Among the items it contained were her wallet, identification, checkbook, two pairs of sunglasses, marriage certificate, nursing license and stethoscope, as well as debit, credit and Social Security cards.

Tracy D. Durham of the 900 block of Mary Street reported her unlocked 2015 Dodge Journey and unlocked 2011 Chevrolet Malibu were entered and rummaged through between 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, and 8:40 a.m. Thursday, May 14.

According to the report, an expired vehicle insurance card, candy and two WIC checks were stolen from the Dodge.

Jasmine Elane Fitzpatrick of the 900 block of Hickory reported Thursday, May 14, that her unlocked 2016 Hyundai Elantra had been entered between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. and keys and her wallet were stolen.

According to the report, two debit cards, her driver’s license and money were among the items in Fitzpatrick’s wallet at the time of the theft.

Matt Dodd reported at about 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, that a register had been forcibly opened at Bread + Butter in the 2500 block of North Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, change was found on the floor near the register and two safes and three iPads were stolen.

A detective with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division processed the scene.

Michael Eugene Cook reported at about 3:55 a.m. Friday, May 15, that the Donut House in the 1200 block of North Westwood Boulevard had been forcibly entered and a safe containing money stolen.
