Three area residents were killed in a three-vehicle crash at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, on U.S. 412 at Highway 25 in Kennett.
According to the report, Nelson H. Mayberry, 52, of Kennett was operating a 2004 Hyundai Sonata westbound when it struck an eastbound 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer in the side and then struck an eastbound 2015 Dodge pickup.
Mayberry and the Mitsubishi’s driver, Carolyn B. Taylor, 69, and its passenger, Dorothy M. Brewer, 80, both of Portageville, were pronounced dead at the scene at 6:18 p.m. by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell. The deaths are the fifth, sixth and seventh in Troop E for 2020.
The Dodge’s driver, David E. Thompson, 54, of Kennett, was not injured in the crash.

A 24-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, on County Road 448, one-half mile west of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Niesa A. Shepard was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox northbound when it pulled into the lane of a 2016 Chevrolet pickup being driven eastbound by Scotty B. Bryeans, 40, of Poplar Bluff. Bryeans’ truck allegedly struck Shepard’s SUV.
Shepard suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

William C. Flickinger, 53, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, on eight Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrants, a Butler County failure to appear warrant for driving while suspended and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Damien A. Dodson, 40, of Piedmont was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, on a warrant for probation violation on an original drug offense and a Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrant for driving while revoked. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Demetri D. Rodgers, 24, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was arrested at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Dillion Benjamin Conyers, 27, of Pollard, Arkansas, was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, March 4, on a failure to appear warrant for failure to drive in a single lane. He was released on bond.

Christopher Adam Darnell, 37, of the 300 block of Parkview Lane was booked at the Butler County jail on a warrant for possession of stolen property.

Jose Rafael Granados, 29, of Jackson was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, March 4, on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for second-degree property damage. He was released on bond.

Linda K. Hodge of Harviell reported her home in the 100 block of Third Street was forcibly entered between 5 p.m. Feb. 19 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 24.
According to the report, drawers were gone through and items moved around. It is unknown what, if anything, was missing.

Aaron McCoy, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Probation and Parole on five municipal failure to appear warrants for stealing, no operator’s license, domestic assault, first-degree trespassing and no proof of insurance. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Shanea L. Brown, 34, who listed Poplar Bluff and Ellsinore addresses, was detained at about 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Cash Saver. She was issued a summons for shoplifting and released.
