MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 25-year-old Poplar Bluff man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, June 25, on Highway B, four miles east of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Vance L. Byerly was operating a 2010 Toyota Tundra westbound when it ran off the road and struck an embankment and a fence.

Byerly suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 18-year-old Williamsville resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:35 a.m. Thursday, June 25, on Highway A, about two miles north of Williamsville.

According to the report, Eric L. Freeman was operating 2017 Chevrolet Equinox southbound when it ran off the left side of the road. Freeman’s SUV reportedly returned to the road and then ran off the right side of the road, where it struck a utility pole.

Freeman suffered moderate injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Kelly Kay Hunter, 43, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, June 25, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brandy Nicole Moore, 34, of Wappapello was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, June 25, on two failure to appear warrants for no proof of insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle and a warrant for no insurance. She was released on bond.

Cody Allan Taylor, 26, of the 600 block of Kinzer Street was booked into the Butler County jail Thursday, June 25, to serve five days of shock detention.

Terrell Romell Williams, 29, of the 900 block of Taft Avenue was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, June 25, on a warrant for no insurance. He was released on bond.

Samuel Lee Cochran of the 8700 block of Highway PP reported Wednesday, June 24, that his garage had been forcibly entered.

According to the report, a Freon reclaimer, chop saw, Honda three-wheeler, metal roller, miscellaneous fishing equipment, skilsaw, angle grinder and copper plumbing fittings were stolen.

Deputies responded at about 1:05 a.m. Thursday, June 25, to an alarm at Darnell’s Country Convenience Store in the 1800 block of Highway B.

According to the report, the glass in a door had been broken and video surveillance showed two males had entered the store and stole multiple packs of cigarettes and whiskey.

The suspects reportedly were wearing hoodies, face masks and gloves.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Dustin Ray Rogers, 34, of the 1400 block of Spring Street was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at the intersection of Ninth and Main streets on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault and second-degree property damage and four municipal failure to appear warrants for property damage, peace disturbance, carrying a concealed weapon and domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Kenneth Harold Betz, 44, of the 1100 block of North Main Street was arrested at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Probation and Parole on a Butler County warrant for probation violation on an original charge of first-degree stalking. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Paul Lee Norfleet, 32, of the 1000 block of Grand Avenue was arrested at 5:59 a.m. Friday, June 26, at the intersection of Alice and Harper streets on two Butler County failure to appear warrants for non-support and no operator’s license. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

John W. Smith of the 2000 block of Greenwood reported Thursday, June 25, that his vehicle was entered.

According to the report, a pair of prescription glasses, two pairs of sunglasses, miniature baseball bat, CDs, change and a pair of reading glasses were stolen.

Billy G. Burke also of the 2000 block of Greenwood reported his vehicle was entered and two checkbooks stolen.

Officers found a window shattered at Grateful Headz in the 800 block of West Pine Street at about 12:05 a.m. Friday, June 26.

Rodreckus Triblett of the 800 block of Bearden reported a 2012 Heartland utility trailer was stolen from his yard between 1:30 a.m. and noon Wednesday, June 24.

Daniel Boaz Brooks, Roland Edwin Westrup, Chandler Martinez Pooley and Hunter Melvin Wilson reported their apartment in the 1700 block of Spring Street had been forcibly entered between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25.

According to the report, a desk and the bedrooms had been rummaged through and cash, a cellphone charger and belts were stolen. A complete list of missing items is to be provided at a later date.

A detective with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division processed the scene.

BLOOMFIELD —Alicia Lynn Kestner, 41, of Qulin was booked at the Stoddard County Jail on a warrant for probation violation.
