A 58-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, on Highway 53, four and one-half miles north of Campbell.

According to the report, Cynthia M. Heller was operating a 2011 Toyota Sienna northbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail face.

Heller suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Eddie Dwayne Hunt, 21, of Columbia, Mo., was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, Jan. 8, on a failure to appear warrant for possession of a defaced firearm.

Kristen Lanelle Jones, 29, of Qulin was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, Jan. 7, on a warrant for no valid license.

Alecia Elaine Nelson, 55, of Harviell was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, Jan. 7, on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault.

Janet L. Edwards of the 2900 block of County Road 434 reported her 2003 Ford Explorer was stolen between about 1:35 and 1:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, while it was parked at Heartland Express in the 4100 block of South Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, Edwards’ SUV was unlocked, and the keys were in the ignition at the time of the theft.

Kevin Dewayne Irby, 35, who listed Poplar Bluff and Qulin addresses, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, on Highway 142 on a Dunklin County warrant for probation violation on an original first-degree burglary charge and a Sikeston municipal failure to appear warrant for first-degree trespassing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Shelly Lee Smith, 49, of the 900 block of Benton Street was arrested at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of second-degree burglary, resisting arrest and second-degree trespassing. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

David Lee Shepherd, 44, of the 1500 block of Alice Street was arrested at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of peace disturbance and second-degree trespassing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Kyle Demitri Bounds, 22, who listed Poplar Bluff and Dexter addresses, was arrested at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the police station on three municipal failure to appear warrants for carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of minor in possession of liquor. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Elizabeth Grace McCluskey, 18, of the 600 block of West Victor Street was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of stealing. She was booked and released on a criminal summons.

Warren Prescott Beedle of the 2000 block of Raulston reported Tuesday, Jan. 7, that unknown person(s) had entered his garage the day before and stole a SKS rifle, ratchet, impact driver and bicycle.

David Blaine Lawson of the 2800 block of Cravens reported at about 4:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, that unknown person(s) attempted to forcibly enter his residence by breaking a window. Entry was not gained.

Mary Ann Stroud reported Tuesday, Jan. 7, that unknown person(s) forcibly entered a propane storage tank cage at Gates Refurbishing in the 1000 block of South Broadway between Friday, Jan. 3, and Monday, Jan. 6.

According to the report, six forklift propane tanks were stolen.

Linda S. Burgess of the 1900 block of Raulston reported at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, that her vehicle had been rummaged through and a shed also entered.

According to the report, a bag, containing a saw and drill gun, was stolen from the shed.

Derek Braden reported Braden’s Flea Market in the 1700 block of South Broadway was entered between 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, and 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.

According to the report, a cash register, watch and safe were stolen.

A 63-year-old Poplar Bluff man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the intersection of Highway WW and Ashcroft Road.

According to the report, Ricardo Botero, 53, of the 1000 block of Kinzer Street was operating a 2004 Dodge pickup, which was making a right turn onto Highway WW.

At the same time, Jacob L. Klein of the 1600 block of Highway 53, was riding a bicycle southbound on the Highway WW’s shoulder.

Botero’s truck allegedly struck Klein’s bicycle as it pulled out.

Klein was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

Two Poplar Bluff residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:36 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the intersection of Pine and Second streets.

According to the report, Dillion J.M. Baker, 26, of the 300 block of Lee was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Pine Street.

At the same time, Vincent Lampe, 59, of the 300 block of County Road 543 was operating a 2018 Ford pickup, which was making a left turn from Pine onto the Butler County Courthouse parking lot.

Lampe’s truck allegedly was struck by Baker’s vehicle as it crossed the eastbound lanes.

Due to the damage to the vehicles, the investigating officer said, it was apparent Baker’s vehicle allegedly was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.

Baker and his 18-year-old passenger, Nadia Rayleen Harden, were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
