Terry W. Crihfield reported Dec. 17 that a residence was forcible entered on property he owns in the 300 block of County Road 305 and tools were stolen.

A 6-year-old Poplar Bluff boy was treated and released from Saint Francis Health Center after he was bitten by a dog on Dec. 22.
According to the report, Jamie Hampton of the 2300 block of Township Line Road told the deputy her son, Bekker Hampton, was bitten by a dog while at a residence in the 2700 block of Cedar Valley Drive.
The elder Hampton reported seeing her son laying on the ground and believed the neighbor’s dog knocked him over. She later found her son crying with his shirt ripped and blood on it.
The boy suffered a puncture wound under his left arm, as well as numerous scraps and bruises.

Taylor Elizabeth Gowen reported a residence in the 300 block of Mulberry Lane at Harviell had been forcibly entered between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 20.
According to the report, an Xbox, pair of shoes, AR-15 rifler, AR-15 drum magazine and money was stolen.
The suspect(s) also attempted to forcibly enter a shed.

Thomas Lee Berry of the 6300 block of County Road 426 reported Saturday, Dec. 28, that a portable generator; plastic tote containing a Christmas tree and ornaments; an antique trunk; shovel; rake and some spools of 500 foot electric wire were stolen.
According to the report, the theft occurred after 5:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27.

Clifton Becker reported Friday, Dec. 27, that an arc welder owned by Robertson Construction was stolen from a job site at the Poplar Bluff treatment plant on County Road 307.

Travis Eugene Brown, 30, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:34 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, on Highway WW near Ashcroft Road on suspicion of DWI, careless and imprudent driving and driving while revoked/suspended.
Brown, who reportedly registered a blood-alcohol content of .192 percent on a breath test, was booked at the Butler County jail.

Preston Allen Eason, 19, who listed Poplar Bluff and Wappapello addresses, was arrested at 7:28 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at the intersection of Benton and Mary streets on suspicion of stealing and resisting arrest. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Demarlon M. Richardson, 25, of the 5000 block of Nellie Sue Circle was arrested at 2:29 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at the police station on 16 municipal failure to appear warrants for expired state registration, possession of marijuana, four counts of driving while suspended, no seat belt, three counts of no insurance, assault, two counts of state license plate required, no proof of insurance and two counts of improper state registration.
He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Kelondre Letritt Herrin, 27, of the 1500 block of North 10th Street was arrested at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at the intersection of 10th and Hart streets on a Boone County failure to appear warrant for possession of marijuana. He was booked at the Butler County jail and released on bond.

Officers responded at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, to an alarm sounding at a storage shed in the 800 block of Foley Street.
According to the report, Christopher R. Pinderski didn’t find anything missing from the shed, which had been forcibly entered.

Three Poplar Bluff residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at the intersection of 13th Street and Forest Lane.
According to the report, Breonna M. Hill, 17, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer eastbound on Forest Lane.
At the same time, Lori Ann Ivy, 54, of the 2300 block of Grand Avenue was operating a 2004 Chevrolet pickup southbound on 13th Street.
Hill and her passenger, as well as a witness, reported Hill’s SUV allegedly conducted a “rolling stop” and attempted to turn southbound on 13th Street.
Ivy’s truck reportedly then came down the hill on 13th Street and allegedly struck Hill’s SUV.
Ivy told officers her truck was entering the intersection when Hill allegedly failed to yield and struck her truck.
The investigating officer reportedly found marks that appeared to show Ivy’s truck was in the intersection further than Hill’s SUV at the time of the collision.
Hill and her passenger, Antonio L. Whitehorn, 17, of the 600 block of North Eighth Street, were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A family member took Ivy by private vehicle to the Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:52 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, on Westwood Boulevard and Perry Street.
According to the report, Jennifer N. Clifton, 25, of the 600 block of Poplar Street was operating a northbound 2006 Pontiac G6 in the outside lane of Westwood Boulevard when a vehicle in front of her slammed on its brakes. Clifton then reportedly slammed on her car’s brakes to keep from hitting the other vehicle.
At the same time, Myanza S.R. McCain, 19, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Impala behind Clifton’s car.
When Clifton slammed on her brakes, McCain reported he also slammed on his brakes in an attempt to stop; however, he was unable to stop and his car allegedly struck Clifton’s car in the rear.
Due to Clifton being 20 weeks pregnant and complaining of back pain, she was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
McCain’s 15-year-old passenger, Jacob A. Britton of Joplin, complained of back and neck pain and was taken by private vehicle to the Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Crestwood Drive.
According to the report, Melanie T. Tucker, 35, of Fremont was operating a southbound 2005 Ford Expedition in the inside lane of Westwood Boulevard approaching the Crestwood intersection.
At the same time, Jennifer Ann Vavra, 32, of Fairview, Tenn., was operating a 2006 Chrysler HHR directly behind Tucker’s SUV.
Tucker reportedly slowed to a stop as she approached the electronic signal.
Vavra allegedly failed to slow her vehicle and struck the rear of Tucker’s SUV.
Both drivers and Vavra’s passengers, Kira Nacole Vavra, 13, of Fairview and Riley Lennon Hargrove, 12, of Burns, Tenn., were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
