Ellis, 34, of Piedmont was arrested at 4:34 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on suspicion of two counts of third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fewer than 10 grams of marijuana, speeding, improper child restraint and no seat belt. She was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Jimmie Jimenez, 52, of Reagan, Tennessee, was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of fewer than 10 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Carter County Sheriff’s Department.

Joseph C. Neely, 28, of Finger, Tennessee, was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. He was booked at the Carter County Sheriff’s Department.

A 70-year-old Williamsville woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on Highway W, eight miles north of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Beverly A. Miles was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer southbound when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
Miles suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 29-year-old Scott City woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on County Road 313, one mile south of Scott City.
According to the report, Jessica N. Doria was operating a 2013 Kia Sorento southbound when it ran off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
Doria was pronounced dead at 9:30 a.m. at the scene by Scott County Coroner Scott Amick.
Doria’s 4-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Jennifer Lynn Scarlet, 36, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the 400 block of North Main Street on suspicion of first-degree trespassing and a Butler County failure to appear warrant for trespassing. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Ralph Aaron Sullivan, 41, of the 600 block of North D Street was arrested at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the 400 block of North Main Street on suspicion of first-degree trespassing and five municipal failure to appear warrants for trespassing, driving while revoked, stealing, possession of marijuana and assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Three area residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Highland Drive.
According to the report, Robyn Lynd Chapman, 73, of Van Buren was operating a 2017 Toyota pickup northbound on Westwood Boulevard at Highland Drive.
Chapman reported he was adjusting his glasses and was unsure if he had a green light or not.
Chapman’s truck allegedly continued through the intersection as a 2013 Toyota Pruis was westbound on Highland.
The vehicles reportedly collided in the intersection.
The other driver, David Leo Sloan, 48, of the 1400 block of South 14th Street, reported he had a green light.
Chapman reported he was not injured; however, the investigating officer noted his left hand was bleeding.
Sloan complained of pain to his back, hips, left leg and left foot, while his passenger, William Paul Threet, 41, of Harviell, complained of pain to his shoulders and back. Both men were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
