MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 16-year-old Puxico resident was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Highway T.
According to the report, Henery S. Sperino, 61, of Puxico was operating a 2003 Mercy Sable westbound when it struck the rear of a 2016 GMC Yukon being operated by Kimberly K. Miller, 47, of Dexter.
Sperino’s passenger, Andrew R. Sperino, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Christina L. Benefield, 42, of Doniphan was arrested at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday on a Ripley County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. She was booked at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department.

Brian Todd Sattel, 52, of the 1900 block of South Broadway was arrested at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cash Saver on Highway 53 on suspicion of stealing/shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked and released.

A 51-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Lurlyn Drive.
According to the report, Judy A. Deal of the 2000 block of Wallace Street was operating a 2008 Kia, which was turning south onto Westwood Boulevard from the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.
Deal reportedly turned into the center turning lane and then attempted to change lanes to the inside southbound lane.
At the same time, Milton R. Eichmann, 71, of the 1800 block of County Road 448 was operating a 2017 Ford van southbound in the inside lane of Westwood Boulevard.
Deal’s vehicle allegedly struck Eichmann’s van.
Deal told officers she did not see Eichmann’s van when changing lanes.
Deal was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
