Kenneth Wayne Guard of the 200 block of Heron Road reported Thursday, Aug. 6, that a Ruger .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol, a Heritage .22-caliber revolver and change had been stolen from his residence.

Chad Delane Cook of Cape Girardeau reported Wednesday, Aug. 5, that the locks were cut off his storage units at Ross Storage in the 3800 block of Highway 67 North.
According to the report, a public-address speaker system was among the items stolen. A complete list was to be provided at a later date.

Erika Renea Carpenter of the 700 block of County Road 468 reported Thursday, Aug. 6, that her residence had been forcibly entered and a TV, purses, canvas paintings, night stands and a decorative pillow were stolen.

Deshante Rassaan Nabors, 29, of the 3100 block of Warrior Lane was arrested at 9:54 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, in the 300 block of West Neat Street on suspicion of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a fewer than 35 grams of marijuana, resisting arrest and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Sally L. Wells of the 1500 block of Coolidge Street reported her residence was forcibly entered between 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, and 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, and cleaning products were stolen.

Officers responded at 12:50 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, to a report of a suspicious subject at Grateful Headz in the 800 block of West Pine Street.
According to the report, the building was found secure, but a window of an adjacent business, The Print Works, was damaged, but it didn’t appear entry had been made into the building.
