Jerry C. Moore, 53, of the 2800 block of Southwind Drive reported at 10:47 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, that earlier that night a group of teenagers was knocking on his and neighbor’s doors and running away.
According to the report, Moore said he’d seen a group of teenagers do so in the neighborhood for several nights, and he had attempted to confront them, but they ran away. They returned and threw eggs at his vehicle, and ran away when he attempted to confront him. Moore reported they returned a third time that night and threw rocks at his house and vehicle, but did not cause any damage.

Thomas Wesley Graham, 48, of the 3000 block of Elaine Avenue reported at 10:33 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, that a letter sent by priority mail he received from his sister had been opened and stapled back closed.

Tyler Matthew Hayes, 29, of the 6900 block of Highway W reported at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, that a 1992 Chevy Silverado pickup was stolen from his yard sometime after July 25.

Alphonse Daniel Avila, 41, of the 600 block of County Road 603 was booked in the Butler County jail Tuesday, Aug. 11, on failure to appear warrants for shoplifting, distribution of a controlled substance, non-support, no proof of insurance and passing a bad check.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT
Preston Perry Russell, 30, of the 1100 block of Cole Avenue was arrested at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the intersection of Grand and Center on Jefferson County warrants for possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine), fourth-degree domestic assault and no state vehicle license. He was booked in the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 52-year-old Fairdealing woman suffered moderate injuries from a two-vehicle crash at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, on Highway B, about 1.4 miles south of Fairdealing.
According to the report, Bobby L. Hatton, 69 of Fairdealing was turning right in a southbound 2015 Ford pickup when a 2009 Dodge Avenger, driven by Evan T. Bergeron, 20, of Doniphan, struck him from behind.
Bobby Hatton’s occupant, Margaret E. Hatton, was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 60-year-old Ellsinore man suffered moderate injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, on Highway 60 at County Road 256.
According to the report, William T. Wagner was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado eastbound when he struck a 2017 Honda Accord, operated southbound by Jillian S. Ritter, 19, of Grandin, in the side.
Wagner took a personal vehicle to seek medical treatment.

An 18-year-old Ellington man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, on Highway K, about two miles east of Ellington.
According to the report, Jacob C. Chitwood was operating a 1995 Ford pickup eastbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
He was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Rosenda M. Torres, 18, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, on suspicion of DWI and speeding. She was booked at the Butler County jail and released.
