MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 5-year-old Caruthersville girl was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, April 19, on East Seventh Street at Maple Street in Caruthersville.
According to the report, Joshua A. Lacey, 24, of Caruthersville was operating a 2000 Chrysler Town & Country van westbound when it ran off the right side of the road and became airborne. Lacey’s van then reportedly went through a fence and struck a tree.
Lacey suffered serious injuries and was flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
Lacey’s passenger was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:45 p.m. by Pemiscot County Coroner Jim Brimhall. The girl is the 13th fatality in Troop E this year.

A 32-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was struck by a car at 8:59 p.m. Saturday, April 18, on Township Line Road, one-half mile north of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Phillip W. Poe, 55, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu northbound when it struck Jennifer D. Campbell, who was walking in the road.
Campbell suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Lenard D. Moore, 51, of Fontana, California, was arrested at 3:12 a.m. Sunday, April 19, in Butler County on suspicion of DWI, failure to drive on the right side of the road resulting in an accident, no seat belt, no insurance and no valid driver’s license. He was released for medical care.

Brandon M. Coffee, 29, of Sturdivant was arrested at 8:49 p.m. Saturday, April 18, on suspicion of DWI, driving while revoked, consuming alcohol while driving, no insurance and failure to drive on the right half of the road and on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation and a Bollinger County failure to appear warrant for failure to comply with ignition interlock device requirements. He was booked at the Cape Girardeau County Jail.

Sharp, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:07 p.m. Saturday, April 18, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia and two Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and stealing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

He was booked at the Butler County jail and later released.
