Gregory L. Kingery, 53, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:09 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt and no proof of insurance. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Aaron R. Pollack, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:47 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a child and on a Butler County failure to appear warrant for trespassing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Amy D. Spink, 38, of Gatewood was arrested at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility and possession of drug paraphernalia and a Wright County warrant for probation violation on an original drug offense and two Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrants for larceny and shoplifting. She was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Tammy Gay Mellon, 53, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the police station on a municipal failure to appear warrant for failure to abate. She was booked and released on bond.

Christopher Brian Jones, 47, of Dexter was arrested at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Probation and Parole on a New Madrid County warrant for violation of a court order. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Thomas Wayne Smith, 50, of the 800 block of Park Avenue was arrested at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at his residence on suspicion of fourth-degree domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Preston Alexander Cowgill, 18, of the 1300 block of North 12th Street was arrested at 8:06 p.m. March 8 in the 3100 block of Oak Grove Road on suspicion of third-degree assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail and released.

Tara Lee Slavings, 36, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the intersection of Sixth and Lester streets on a federal warrant for distribution of a controlled substance. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Amy Kristen Croy, 37, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, in the 2300 block of Tennessee Avenue on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Christopher James Meyer of Perryville reported at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, that two impact drivers, grinder, hammer drill, radio and box of miscellaneous tips were stolen from his 2013 GMC pickup while it was parked at the Drury Inn in the 2200 block of North Westwood Boulevard.

Scott A. Boatner reported at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, that the pay stations in the self-service wash lanes at the Water Works car wash in the 1900 block of South Broadway had been tampered with.

According to the report, the locks and interior cash box magazines were stolen from two pay stations.

Star Light Durenberger of the 2300 block of Tennessee Avenue reported her moped was stolen from her residence between 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, and 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 13.

Two Poplar Bluff men were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the intersection of Maud Street and Ridge Avenue.

According to the report, Jacob Patrick Gaffney, 23, of the 600 block of Old Street was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound on Maud Street, attempting to turn north of Ridge Avenue.

At the same time, Jordan Jermone King, 23, of the 1500 block of High Street was operating a 2018 Ford westbound on Maud.

As Gaffney turned north and crossed the westbound land, King’s vehicle allegedly struck Gaffney’s truck.

Gaffney allegedly failed to yield to the other vehicle.

Gaffney, who reported he was looking at his cellphone, complained of paint to his legs and was taken by a family member to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

King complained of paint to his left leg and had several lacerations to his hands, arms and head. He was taken by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

Gerald Lee Thaxton, 25, of the 1900 block of Fernwood Road was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, March 13, on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm.

Dallas Wayne Wuesthoff, 44, of Doniphan was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, March 13, from Ripley County on suspicion of possession of child pornography.

Shannon Scott Grant of the 300 block of Christina Lane reported Monday, March 11, that a Smith & Wesson .380-caliber handgun had been stolen from his residence on Feb. 25.

DEXTER — Jayden Woolverton, 17, of Malden was arrested at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, on a Dexter municipal warrant. He was booked at the Dexter City Jail.
