Tyler G. Henson, 23, of the 200 block of Elm was arrested at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, on Elm Street on a failure to appear warrant for possession of amphetamines. He was booked at the Butler County jail.
An employee of Munch-N-Pump, located at 1316 Highway 53, reported at 6:52 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, that a vehicle had struck the side of the business. Upon arrival, a deputy discovered a 2002 Chevrolet pickup had struck the building after its driver was ejected from its seat, reportedly because of a non-functional door latch.

Dennis D. Morgan, 32, of the 2700 block of Holly Trails was booked Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Butler County jail on warrants for property damage and a failure to appear warrant for property damage.

Bobby D. Price, 58, of the 700 block of Maud was booked Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Butler County jail on a warrant for stealing a motor vehicle.
Poplar Bluff Firefighters were responding to an unauthorized burn in the 800 block of Cherry street at 6.30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, when they were rerouted to a vehicle fire at 419 W. Henry St.
Stations three and one responded to the vehicle. The owner, Larry Montgomery, had the electrical fire in the Chrysler out upon arrival. The firefighters continued to Cherry Street, where they located an unauthorized burn behind 838 Cherry St. They used a water extinguisher to put out the fire.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 1.01 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, to the Poplar Bluff Kindergarten Center, 1200 Camp Road. Firefighters were notified en route the alarm system sounded due to a malfunction. They found the faulty air unit was on the mezzanine above the gymnasium. The maintenance worker removed the detector, reset the alarm and said it would be replaced during business hours.
According to Highway Patrol reports, a passenger, Justin A. Marks, 17, of Sikeston was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, on U.S. 62, 600 feet west of Charleston in Mississippi County. He was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
The crash occurred as a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 16-year-old male juvenile crossed the center line and struck a 1984 American Motors Wrangler driven by Brian Bailey, 49, of Lawson, Mo.

A 62-year-old Gatewood woman received moderate injures in a two-vehicle accident at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, on Highway A, a half mile south of County Road A-8 in Butler County. According to reports, Carol A. Swanguarim received moderate injuries when the 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt she was driving crossed the center line and struck a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Earl R. Parrish, 77, of Gatewood. Swanguarim was taken by private conveyance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
