Hayes, 45, who listed Highway PP and Highway 53 addresses, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, on Pine Street on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, financial responsibility, no license plates and driving while revoked. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Melissa N. Clay, 44, who listed Harper Street and Poplar Street addresses, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, on Westwood Boulevard on a failure to appear warrant for peace disturbance. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Jacob M. Redd, 24, of the 1000 block of North Second Street, was arrested at 7:16 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, on North D Street on suspicion of resisting arrest, stealing a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of drugs and a parole violation warrant for burglary.

Vernon Pennington III, 39, who listed Barron Road and Hampton Court addresses, was arrested at 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, on Barron Road on suspicion of third degree domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Flanigan, 37, of the 100 block of Country Meadow, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Internet Cafe on failure to appear warrants for speeding, traffic control and no insurance, and on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and delivery of controlled substances to a correctional facility. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Brooke L. Richmann, 27, who listed multiple Poplar Bluff addresses, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, on Nickey Street on failure to appear warrants for larceny and first-degree trespassing. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Choyvalon R. Rice, 45, of the 900 block of Fairmount was arrested at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, on Nooney Street on a warrant for domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Stevie J. Williams, 25, of Campbell was arrested at 9:17 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of meth paraphernalia, no seatbelt and speeding. He was booked into the Dunklin County Jail.

FIRE

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 11:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, to the 800 block of Cherry street, to what was described as an unauthorized burn. When firefighters arrived it was an authorized burn. They cleared the scene at 11:45 a.m.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched were dispatched at 12.02 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, to 615 Carolyn to assist emergency medical services with a patient. They cleared the scene at 12:26 p.m.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 12:55 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, to the 1700 block of Wilson to an unauthorized leaf fire. When firefighters, arrived leaves were burning in the rear of 1701 and 1709 Wilson. Residents alleged someone set a pile of leaves in one yard on fire and left. The leaves in the second yard caught from the first yard. The residents didn’t want to press charges on the alleged person. Firefighters extinguished the fires. They cleared the scenes at 1:18 p.m.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 12:49 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, to 1875 Speedway Drive/Highway 60 to a roadside fire. The city called the Butler County Fire Protection District for assistance. The report stated firefighters found a shredded tire and marks where a tire rim may have caused the fire.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched to 1202 N. Fifth St. at 6:08 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. When firefighters arrived, they learned an outlet was overloaded and caused a breaker to overload and trip. When the breaker was reset it worked normally, the report stated.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 5:55 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, to assist EMS with a patient at 301 E. Neat St. They left at 6:20 a.m. They returned at 2:51 p.m. to assist with the patient.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 7:24 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, to the area in the 1500 block of Truman Street but located a structure fire at 1215 Alice St. No one was in the house. Also responding were Butler County EMS, Spire Gas and Municipal Utilities.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, to a report of an unauthorized burn in the area of Lindsey and Homer Avenues. The fire was located behind 412 N. Main St. Firefighters told the resident not to burn after dark and the owner put the fire out.
