Katrina R. Braden, 29, of the 3300 block of South Westwood, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 18, at highways 60 and 67 on a warrant, and suspicion of possession of marijuana and tampering with a motor vehicle. She was booked at Butler County jail.

Ethan Shaffer, 27, of the 1500 block of Vincent Street, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 18, on suspicion of possession of amphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana. He was booked at Butler County jail.

Daniel C. Jackson reported Friday, Feb. 12, he lost a bank envelope containing $600 at the fuel station at Kroger.

Mitchell Penn, 52, of the 900 block of Kinzer, reported someone stole Novik stone siding and a 50-foot extension cord from his truck totaling $226.50.

Police were summoned Thursday, Feb. 18, to the 1600 block of South 11th Street where a First Midwest bank card, Chime debit card, social security, Missouri ID and orange tool box with miscellaneous items were located behind a church. According to the report, the items belonged to Jennifer Parnell, 19, of the 1400 block of 14th Street, who reported the previous day that her mother’s car was broken into.

Steven Clyde Berten, 44, of the 12000 section of Highway 53, was booked Thursday, Feb. 18, in Butler County jail on a charge of nonsupport.

__POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT__

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:35 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, to Big Lots on North Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, there was no visible fire. Firefighters report it was discovered the alarm system was linked to a system in a neighboring storefront, where a sprinkler line had frozen and broke. The alarm company was notified that the system had to be shut off until the broken line was repaired.
