Alexandria Holmes of Poplar Bluff reported at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, that someone had stolen her purse, along with some diapers and baby clothes, from her car while it was parked at her residence. The clothing and diapers later were recovered.

Adam L. Berry, 48, of Wappapello was booked Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Butler County jail on failure to appear warrants for possession of a controlled substance and stealing.

Danny D. Parker, 65, of the 600 block of County Road 644 was booked Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He later was released.

Paige M. Reece, 26, of the 300 block of South 11th Street was booked Thursday, Sept. 9, at the Butler County jail on a Malden warrant for endangering the welfare of a child.

Nathaniel L.G. Roberts, 21, of Winona, Missouri, was booked Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Butler County jail on a warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to a call at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, of a gas odor outside 2415 Baugh Lane. Upon arrival, nothing was found; however, the source of the smell was traced to a nearby home at 1812 Barron Road, where a propane tank was leaking.

Firefighters responded to a call for assistance at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at a motor vehicle accident on North Westwood Boulevard near Harbor Freight. The call was canceled before they arrived.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Carl W. Markham, 41, who listed Bethel and Truman street addresses, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, on failure to appear warrants for non-support and driving while revoked. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Terry R. Blackburn, 49, of the 200 block of Victor was arrested at 3:47 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. After booking at the police station, he was released pending review of his case.

Carrie A. Holloway, 41, of the 800 block of Clare was arrested at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, on 11th Street on a warrant for second-degree burglary. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 49-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, on Highway 53 in Qulin.

According to the report, Veleda J. Langley, 50, of Pollard, Arkansas was operating a 2011 Ford Expedition southbound when it struck the rear of a southbound 2013 Fiat operated by Leslie D. Weeks, 49, of Poplar Bluff.

Weeks was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 20-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 2 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, on County Road 247, three miles south of Malden in Dunklin County.

According to the report, Dylan Wyman, 20, of Malden was operating a 2013 Chrysler 300 southbound when it ran off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

Wyman was taken by helicopter to Region One Health in Memphis.

Later that morning, Wyman was arrested at 5:48 a.m. in Dunklin County on suspicion of DWI. He was released.
