A 72-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, in Wayne County on Highway T, two miles south of Wappapello.
According to the report, Loretta A. Johnson, 72, of Wappapello was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound when it ran off the roadway.
Johnson was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 9:50 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, on Butler County Road 360, west of U.S. Highway 67.
According to the report, Sammie L. Redmon, 45, of Qulin was operating a 1997 International southbound when it ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a westbound 2007 Freightliner operated by Justin M. Pelaquin, 31, of Houston, Missouri. Pelaquin sustained minor injuries and was transported by Medic One to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, while Redmon sustained moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to PBRMC.
Firefighters responded to an alarm at 8:54 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Center, 2509 Sunset Terrace. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded at 7:32 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, to an accident at 2910 Barron Road involving a motorcycle and SUV. Firefighters stabilized the motorcycle driver and assistant EMS with packaging the patient for transport, then cleared the roadway of debris.

Firefighters responded to a call at 6:28 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, of smoke in the area of North Ninth and Pine Street. They later were told the smoke was at Lester and Ferguson streets. There, they found an authorized burn.
