POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Bryant E. Jenkins, 51, of the 2000 block of Arkansas was arrested at 7:51 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, in the 1400 block of North Westwood Boulevard on a warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Aubrie J. Passley, 28, of Sabre Lane was arrested at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, on Ninth Street on a Butler County misdemeanor warrant. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to a call at 10:22 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, of a gas leak at the 2907 Oak Grove Road home of Van Rhodes. Rhodes had struck a large gas line with a backhoe while digging. Area residents were evacuated and traffic was diverted until Spire Gas officials fixed the line.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 51-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 2:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, on Old U.S. Highway 60, two miles east of Ellsinore.

According to the report, Jody L. Webb, 51, of Ellsinore was operating a 2007 Ford Ranger westbound when it ran off the roadway, hit the ground and overturned.

Webb was taken by private conveyance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 23-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 4:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, on Highway F, four miles west of Ellington.

According to the report, Hannah E. Ashlock, 23, of Ellington was operating a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound when it ran off the roadway, struck a culvert, overturned and ran through a fence.

Ashlock was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

At 5:57 p.m., Ashlock was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DWI (drugs), careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, no insurance and no valid driver’s license. She was released to a sober driver at the scene.
