Firefighters responded to a call at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highways 142 and 53. There were no injuries and firefighters stood by until the scene was cleaned up.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Showplace 8, 3525 S. Westwood Blvd. Maintenance on the rooftop heat exchangers set off the alarm and it was disabled until the remainder of the maintenance was completed.

Firefighters responded to a call at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, of an unauthorized burn in the 800 block of Pershing Street. They found an unauthorized burn at the 1426 N. Main St. home occupied by Jill Hernandez and used 10 gallons of water to put it out.

Firefighters responded to a call at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, of a motor vehicle accident on Pine Street. There were no injuries.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jessica N. Reed, 27, no address listed, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 703 N. Westwood Blvd. on suspicion of possession of amphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear warrants for possession of a controlled substance, operating as vehicle without a license, operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and failure to register a vehicle, and warrants for no insurance and fourth-degree assault. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Olivia D. Pratt, 29, who listed Lowndes, Cape Girardeau and Poplar Bluff addresses, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 1400 Vincent on a warrant for dangerous drugs and a failure to appear warrant for no valid license. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Alexander E. Henson, 32, of the 1300 block of County Road 535 was booked Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Butler County jail on a capias warrant for assault.

Sarah E. Bridgeman, 26, of Park Hills was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony tampering with a motor vehicle, DWI, no driver’s license and no insurance. She was booked at the Dunklin County jail on a 24-hour hold.

Thomas L. Victery, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, in Butler County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, no registration, no insurance, no seat belt and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Butler County jail on a 12-hour hold.
