Firefighters responded to a call at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, about an unauthorized burn at the 1005 Harper Street home occupied by Charles Perry. They found the occupant burning processed wood products and informed him of the city’s burning ordinance before using 20 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:07 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, to 208 N. B Street, where they found an unauthorized burn. They told the occupant, Jerret Ward, of the city’s burn ordinance and used 10 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters responded to a callas 8:48 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, of a woman stuck on top of the J.C. Penney building at 515 S. Westwood Blvd. Firefighters set up a ladder and helped her off the building.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Butler County deputies recovered a stolen black 2006 Cadillac Escalade at 8:13 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at a residence on Highway C at Harviell. The vehicle has a North Carolina registration.

Derik Allen Hancock, 34, of the 100 block of Monument Lane was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 13, on a probation violation. He is being held at the Butler County jail.

Sarah Michelle Limpert, 26, of the 500 block of Oak Street was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for possession of drugs Wednesday, Oct. 13. She is being held at the Butler County jail.

Josie Ann Graves McIntosh, 29, of Old Highway B was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 13, on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and violation of an order of protection. She is being held at the Butler County jail.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

An officer was dispatched to the J.C. Penney on Westwood Blvd at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, to a woman, Josie A. McIntosh, 29, Poplar Bluff, who was trapped on the roof. The officer performed a wellness check on McIntosh, who said she had climbed on the roof the previous night to escape unknown subjects allegedly threatening her in the parking lot. She was transported by Butler County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center to be checked out.

Cody J. Greenwood, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:02 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, on Highway 53 on a failure to appear warrant. He was transported to the Butler County jail.

Leon M. Sokolowski, 46, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the 2100 block of North Westwood Boulevard on a warrant for amphetamine possession. He was transported to Butler County jail.

An officer was dispatched at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, to Speed Queen Laundry on North Westwood Boulevard to trespass Eather M. Simpson, 36, of Poplar Bluff from the property after she allegedly threatened an employee.

Jlynn N. Scarlet, 16, of Poplar Bluff reported her school laptop stolen at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13.

Namon L. Wilkerson, 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 in the 1000 block of South Broadway on failure to appear and dangerous drugs warrants. He was transported to the Butler County jail.
