Deanna E. McMeans, 42, Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, during a traffic stop on Pine St. on a warrant for dangerous drugs and suspicion of resisting or interfering with an arrest. She was transported to the Butler County jail.

Hazel Smith of the 5000 block of Nellie Sue Circle reported at 4:47 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, that a Whirlpool window air conditioning unit was stolen from her front yard.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to a call at 9:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, to assist EMS crews at a motor vehicle accident at 108 S. Westwood Blvd. After assisting EMS crews, firefighters cleaned off the roadway.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 9:34 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Westwood Hills Health Care, 3100 Warrior Lane. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, 1500 N. Westwood Blvd. It was determined a bug zapper caused the alarm to trigger.

Firefighters responded to a call at 7:03 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, of a motor vehicle accident on Pine Street. They cleaned the roadway when the vehicles were removed.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 1:12 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 3109 Oak Grove Road. The alarm had malfunctioned and was put into test mode until it could be repaired.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 21-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident at 4:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, on U.S. Highway 160, three miles west of Fairdealing.

According to the report, Kade T. Stamps, 21, of Naylor was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound when it struck the rear of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala operated by a 17-year-old male from Doniphan, forcing the latter vehicle to strike the rear of another 2010 Chevrolet Impala operated by Benny V. Hancock, 51, of Poplar Bluff.

Stamps was transported by Ripley County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 19-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 8:31 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, on County Road 688, one-half mile north of Qulin.

According to the report, Starla N. Royer, 19, of Doniphan was operating a 2005 Chrysler Sebring westbound when it ran off the roadway and struck a ditch.

Royer was transported via ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Jeremy L. Gibson, 40, of Coldwater was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in Madison County on a warrant for non-support and on suspicion of no valid driver’s license and no seatbelt. He was booked at the Madison County jail.

Charles W. Thacker, 37, of Portageville was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, DWI (drugs), possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and careless and imprudent driving. He was released.

Christie L. Ruff, 44, of Doniphan was arrested at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in Ripley County on suspicion of DWI (drugs). She was released.

Kirkwood, 46, of Malden was arrested at 1:52 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, on suspicion of felony DWI (aggravated offender), felony possession of methamphetamine, felony no driver’s license, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and no seatbelt. He was booked at the Dunklin County jail.
