POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded at 5:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, to a call of a motor vehicle accident at 111 S. Fifth Street. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 3:47 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Academy Sports+Outdoors, 3095 Oak Grove Road. An alarm had sounded, but firefighters found nothing, and a manager reset the alarm system.

Firefighters responded at 5:38 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, to a motor vehicle accident at 940 S. Westwood Blvd. They used an absorbent to clean a spill off the roadway.

Firefighters were called to a woods fire at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2500 Thomas St. They determined it was the county fire department’s jurisdiction and consulted that department, who advised they left the fire burn out on its own.

Firefighters responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident at 3:44 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at 430 Highway 53. They checked vehicle occupants and stayed on the scene until it was cleared.

Firefighters responded at 10:09 a.m. To Thursday, Nov. 11, to a motor vehicle accident at 400 E. Pine St. They assisted EMS crews with packaging of patients.

Firefighters responded to a carbon dioxide alarm at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the 2809 Karmen home owned by Gene Gibbs. They used a gas meter to check for problems and the system was reset.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 36-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 11 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, on U.S. Highway 60 two miles east of Dexter.

According to the report, Tamara R. Webb, 36, of Dexter was operating a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe westbound when it was struck in the rear by a westbound 2014 Chrysler 200 operated by an unknown individual.

Webb was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Robert H. Bramlett, 35, of Dexter was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in Stoddard County on a felony warrant for DWI (chronic offender), plus Cape Girardeau Police Department warrants for illegally parking, driving while revoked and obstruction/false declaration, and on suspicion of driving while revoked and no motorcycle endorsement. He was booked at the Stoddard County jail.
