City firefighters responded at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, April 29, to a report of a fire under the Pine Street bridge. According to the report, firefighters discovered a pile of copper wire burning on the riverbank. They extinguished the fire using five gallons of water.

City firefighters responded at 2:27 p.m. Thursday, April 29, to a fire alarm at the Poplar Bluff Housing Authority office on North E Street. According to the report, firefighters observed nothing showing. Personnel at the building reported it was a false alarm.

City firefighters responded at 3:33 p.m. Thursday, April 29, to a fire alarm at Nortek, located at 1747 Cravens Road. According to the report, firefighters made contact with the building manager, who reported a drop in water pressure set off the alarm and there was no fire.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Charles Anthony DeClue, 38, of the 100 block of main surrendered at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Poplar Bluff police station. According to the report, Declue told officers there was a warrant out for him. Police checked and discovered DeClue had a failure to appear warrant out of Lafayette County for failure to register as a sex offender. DeClue was booked at the Butler County jail.

Christine Marie Wilson, 40, of the 700 block of Apple Street was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in the 900 block of Westwood. According to the report, officers were called for a reported car in a ditch. They made contact with the Wilson and were informed by dispatch she had an active warrant for operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility. Wilson was booked at the Butler County jail and released.

William Charles Flickinger, 54, of the 200 block of Thomas was arrested at 10:57 p.m. Thursday, April 29, on multiple warrants at the Poplar Bluff police station. According to the report, Missouri State Highway Patrol turned Flickinger over to the police for outstanding failure to appear warrants for animal neglect, no operator’s license, no insurance, driving while suspended, animals at large, state license requirement, no city dog orcat tag and nuisance prohibited. Flickinger was booked at the Butler County jail.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Terina Faye Manning, 45, of the 200 block of Highway NN was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, April 29, on suspicion of two violations of an ex parte/full order of protection.

Lucas Shane Pelliccio,22, of Fairdealing was booked at the Butler County jail Friday, April 30, on suspicion of driving while license revoked.

Joshua Samuel Sweet, 33, of the 1100 block of Hickory Street was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, April 29, on a parole violation and suspicion of failure to pay child support.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Two people suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 9:30 a.m. on Highway 142E-20, five miles south of Doniphan. According to the report, a 2006 Nissan Murano driven by David A. Rouille, 63, of Naylor was travelling northbound on 142E-20 when it was struck by a 2013 Dodge Caravan driven by Joshua L. Payne, 30, of Doniphan traveling westbound when the operator failed to yield. Payne was transported by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and treated for moderate injuries. A passenger in Murano’s vegicle, Tammy D. Rouille, 62, of Naylor was also transported by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and treated for moderate injuries.

Eugene S. Emmons, 43, of Jackson was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, April 29, on a Butler County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Emmons was booked at the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department.

Dakotah J. Charlton, 21, of Warrenton, Missouri, was arrested at 5:32 p.m. Thursday, April 29, on two Audrain County failure to appear warrants for stealing and for suspicion of possession of marijuana, and no seatbelt. Charlton was booked at the Wayne County Jail.
