On March 2, deputies were dispatched at 8:23 p.m. Saturday, March 5, to the 2000 block of County Road 650 in Broseley in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. According to the report, Linda Taylor reported she awoke from sleeping and found her 2020 Ford Escape was missing from her residence. The investigation is ongoing.
POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded at 8:23 p.m. Saturday, March 5, to a report of an electrical fire in the 400 block of North D Street. Firefighters found no fire, but smoke in the kitchen due to food residue on the oven heating element. The resident was advised to have the oven checked and cleaned prior to future use, according to the report.

Firefighters responded at 9:27 p.m. Saturday, March 5, to a report of an unauthorized burn in the 900 block of West Maud Street. A small unattended fire was found and homeowner was notified. The fire was extinguished, according to the report.

Firefighters responded at 5:06 p.m. Saturday, March 5, to a report of smoke in the area of Spring and North streets. An unattended leaf and trash fire was found in the 900 block of North 14th Street. The fire was extinguished, according to the report.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 2:06 p.m. Saturday, March 5, in reference to a structure fire in the 1800 block of West Maud Street. The occupant was advised her kitchen was on fire.
Firefighters found a stove on fire and flames had ignited the cabinets above the stove and burned through the wall. Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the area. A smoke detector was installed inside the residence, according to the report.

Firefighters responded at 5:13 p.m. Friday, March 4, to a report of a grass fire in the 500 block of Grand Avenue. They found an unauthorized burn in the 600 block of Grand Avenue. The occupant was extinguishing fire as officers arrived on scene, according to the report.
