Officers responded at 7:14 p.m. Sunday, June 19, to the area of 10th and Spring streets to a report of a disturbance involving a handgun. Officers secured the scene and seized a handgun from a convicted felon on scene. The investigation continues.

Joshua Deberry, 31, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 6:26 p,m. Sunday, June 19, in the 700 block of Warren Street. Deberry was booked on a Dunklin County failure to appear warrant for second degree assault. He was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Rashawn Knighten was arrested at 11:04 a.m. Sunday, June 19, after he allegedly assaulted an adult male and two children on the lot at Money Mizer Convenience Store in the 500 block of East Pine st. Knighten was booked on charges of second degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child, and was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Tabitha Walters reported at 7:57 a.m. Sunday, June 19, the license plates were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the 800 block of Kendall Street.

Glynn Cardwell, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:33 a.m. Sunday, June 19, during the investigation of a single vehicle accident at Highway 53 and Fair Street. Cardwell was cited for DWI, no operator’s license, no insurance, and failure to drive in a single lane.

Kevin Nunnery, 37, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, June 19, on the parking lot at Jay’s Corner Store at 1040 South Broadway. Nunnery was booked in on two Butler County warrants for larceny; Wayne County failure to appear warrants for dangerous drugs and no financial responsibility; Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation; five Poplar Bluff Municipal Court failure to appear warrants on several different offenses. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Danielly Izquierdo, 24, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, June 19, on Second Street at Vine Street. Izquierdo was booked in on a Wayne County warrant for possession of amphetamine and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Herman Jackson, 30, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:38 p.m. Saturday, June 18, following a disturbance at the Winning Circle at 120 N. 10th St. on charges of fourth degree assault and property damage. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded 9:58 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at 9:58 to the 3100 block of Warrior Lane for a harassment complaint. Asia Hunt, 35, and neighbors Thomas Parsons, 21, and Gricelda Infante, 20, all of Poplar Bluff, filed complaints against one-another. All three were issued criminal summons for harassment and were released at the scene.

Mark Day reported a catalytic converter was stolen at 12:24 p.m. Saturday, June 18, from a Friendship Christian Church van while it was parked on the lot at Drury Inn on North Westwood Boulevard.

Keondre McCain, 22, of Poplar Bluff was arrested during a traffic stop 10:31 a.m. Saturday, June 18, on PP Highway on a New Madrid County failure to appear warrant for a traffic violation. McCain was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Officers responded at 8:54 a.m. Saturday, June 18, to the Poplar Bluff Dog Park on South Second Street for a report of shots fired. A park patron reportedly shot a dog after it attacked their own dog. Both dogs were treated at a local animal hospital. The officers spoke with both dog owners at the park and the animal hospital; and the owner of the attacking dog said they understood it was necessary.

Dylan Ryan was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in the 300 block of South 11th Street on a Butler County warrant for littering. He was lodged in the Butler County jail. At 6:23 p.m. Saturday, June 18, Ryan reported his maroon 2007 Ford Taurus stolen. The vehicle was recovered by the Clayton (Mo.) Police Department Sunday, June 19.

Thomas E. Morgan, 61, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, June 18, during a traffic stop in the 2900 block of North Westwood Boulevard on a Mississippi County failure to appear warrant for non-support. Morgan was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Nicholas Jackson, 23, of Bismarck, Missouri, was cited for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop at 12:07 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Second and Pine Streets.

Cornelius McIntosh, 35, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Friday, June 17, at Castello’s Restaurant on a Probation and Parole warrant for probation violation. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Terry Johnson, 52, of Poplar Bluff, and Dawn Wahby, 52, of Poplar Bluff were arrested Friday, June 17, during a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Vine Street. They were both booked in on charges of possession of a controlled Substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Randy Foster, 49, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 6:27 p.m. Friday, June 17, at his residence in the 1200 block of N. Fifth Street on a charge of violation of an order of protection. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Employees at Dunham’s Sporting Goods, 763 North Westwood Blvd., reported at 5:36 p.m. Friday, June 17, a white male suspect stole a pair of shoes. The investigation continues.

A stolen vehicle was found abandoned at 9:11 a.m. Friday, June 17, in front of gas pumps at JD’s Quick Stop at 1529 North Main st. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.

Greg West reported at 8:14 a.m. Friday, June 17, trespassers were on his property at 1501 Cross Street, and said two window air conditioner units were missing.

Jason Graves, 51, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, 3100 Oak Grove Road. Graves was booked in on a Ripley County warrant for possession of a weapon and a Butler County failure to appear warrant for stealing. Graves was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Charles Payne reported Tuesday, June 21, a new hot water heater was missing from a vacant property in the 600 block of Charles Street.

Kyle Gutterman was arrested at 4:58 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, at a residence in the 900 block of Cynthia Street. Gutterman was booked on charges of property damage, possession of amphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A juvenile reported her vehicle was hit at 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, while it was parked at Valley Plaza Shopping Center and left the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a silver Jeep Liberty.

Joseph Holman was arrested at 11:19 a.m. Monday, June 20 during a traffic stop on the Planet Fitness parking lot. Holman was booked in on a Cape Girardeau County failure to appear warrant for traffic offenses and additional charges of driving while Revoked, no license Plates, and no proof of insurance. He was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

A Steak and Shake employee turned in a cell phone found on a table inside the restaurant at 9:28 a.m. Monday, June 20. The phone was placed into evidence until the owner claims it.

Joseph W. Holman, 47, of the 2700 block of Cravens Road was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Monday, June 20, on a failure to appear warrant for driving while revoked or suspended (second or subsequent offense). He was booked in to the Butler County jail.

Kyle W. Gutterman, 39, of the 5700 block of Lake Shore Drive was arrested at 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine precursors and property damage. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Willie Smith reported at 9:26 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, his red 2019 Dodge Ram truck was stolen from the parking lot at Walmart Neighborhood Market, 3001 Oak Grove Road.

Katherine Blackwell reported at 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, the license plates were stolen from her truck.

A resident in the 800 block of West Vine street reported at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, two televisions were stolen from his or her residence.

Officers responded at 10:52 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, to the parking lot at Northwest Medical Center at 2210 Barron Road for an unresponsive person hanging out of the driver’s window of a parked vehicle. The passenger said they had been drinking whiskey. The subject was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters were dispatched to McCoy’s scrap processing, 635 S. Sixth St., to a large brush fire at 9:14 a.m. Friday, June 17. According to the report, upon arrival they found a large brush pile with trash and scrap material mixed. Engine 33 stretched an attack line and put out the majority of the fir. It was decided to save the possibility of large amounts of water runoff from the site, so the rest of the fire was extinguished by covering it with dirt using the heavy equipment on site. Firefighters used 700 gallons of water.

Firefighters were dispatched to 1995 South Broadway at 4:12 p.m. Friday, June 17, to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. According to the report, upon arrival firefighters observed a subject standing beside his bike with police officers. They made contact with him to check for injuries and render first aid. The subject had some road rash on his arms and face but appeared to be otherwise okay. Butler County EMS arrived and started treating the patient. Firefighters cleared the scene.

The Poplar Bluff Fire Department responded to 615 Kinzer for a reported dumpster fire at 8:21 p.m. Friday, June 17. According to the report, upon arrival they located a small fire in the dumpster to the rear of the structure. Fire Department personnel extinguished the fire with 20 gallons of water.

Firefighters responded a 4:35 a.m. Sunday, June 19, to 903 53 Highway in front of the Dollar General Store to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. According to the report, there was a single-vehicle accident with a vehicle off the roadway and in the ditch, with the occupant already outside and leaning against the vehicle. Fire personnel checked for injuries and secured the vehicle. When Butler County EMS arrived, the patient was loaded into the ambulance. Fire personnel cleared the roadway of debris before leaving the scene. The Poplar Bluff Police Department also responded.

Firefighters responded to fire alarm sounding at the Poplar Bluff Middle School, 1308 Victory Lane, at 5:19 a.m. Sunday, June 19. According to the report, firefighters were told it was a water flow alarm sounding. Upon arrival, they were met by Alan Ursery, head of maintenance. They accessed the alarm panel room and then checked the building. No water flow was located and the alarm would not silence or reset. Ursery took the system out of service and called an alarm technician. He said he would notify dispatch when repairs are made.

Firefighters responded to an alarm system activation at Mark Twain Caring Center. 3001 May St., at 11:21 a.m. Sunday, June 19. According to the report, while en route dispatch advised it was a false alarm. Firefighters arrived on scene and met with an employee who stated a resident had pulled the fire alarm on accident. There was no fire and it was investigation only.

Firefighters responded at 12:25 p.m. Monday, June 20, to 1523 Barron Road. According to the report, they assisted police officers and the coroner with a body recovery.

Firefighters responded at 5:59 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, to River Mist Assisted Living Center, 2050 Maud St., to an alarm system malfunction. According to the report, nothing was showing with the fire crew arrived, A staff member said, they had problems earlier with the same sensor in the hallway. Reportedly, a person was on the way to make repairs. The system had been reset.

Firefighters responded at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, to a vehicle accident cleanup. According to the report, firefighters used 50 gallons of water to wash an antifreeze spill from a previous accident of the roadway and clear all the debris.

Linda A. Wallace, 53, of Wappapello was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Friday, June 17, in Wayne County on a felony Wayne County warrant. She was booked at the Wayne County jail.

Mary B. Alsup, 56, of Dexter was arrested at 6:53 p.m. Friday, June 17, in Stoddard County on suspicion of misdemeanor DWI (alcohol) and failure to drive on the right side of the road. She was released.

Jason L. Pruneau, 37, of Herculaneum wsas arrested at 8:08 p.m. Friday, June 17, in Wayne County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine. He was released.

Thomas L. Youngblood, 37, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:42 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in Butler County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor driving while suspended or revoked and failure to display plates. He was released.

Coty Vaughn, 24, of High Ridge was arrested at 12:42 p.m. Saturday, June 18, in Ripley County on Jefferson County warrants for felony possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended, a Franklin County misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for a traffic offense and on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Ripley County jail.

Dylan M. Menteer, 19, of Fredericktown was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Saturday, June 18, in Wayne County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol), speeding and no operator’s license. He was booked at the Wayne County jail.

A 19-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 6 a.m. Sunday, June 19, on Highway V, four miles north of Ellsinore.

According to the report, Aubrey L. Cyr, 19, of Ellsinore was operating a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze northbound when it failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.

Cyr was transported by East Carter County Ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 15-year-old boy sustained minor injuries in an ATV-SUV collision at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, June 18, on County Road 111, three miles west of Malden.

According to the report, a 15-year-old boy from Malden was operating a 2008 Honda Rancher southbound when it crossed the center of the road and struck a 2002 GMC Yukon operated by William C. DeArman, 39, of Malden.

The boy was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Two people sustained minor injuries in a motorcycle accident at 3:45 p.m. Monday, June 20, on a private drive one-half mile west of Spillway Road and two miles east of Wappapello.

According to the report, Robert C. Paine, 65, of Puxico was operating a 2012 Harley-Davidson Fleetwood eastbound when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

Paine and a passenger, Tina L. Daniel, 42, of Puxico, were taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Paine by ambulance and Daniel by private conveyance.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:15 p.m. Monday, June 20, on Highway 25, one mile north of Bloomfield.

According to the report, Vyron E. Fodge, 79, of Bloomfield was operating a 2004 Ford F-150 southbound when it pulled into the path of a northbound 2021 Ford Eco Sport operated by Willie J. Deck, 71, of Glen Allen.

Deck sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center, while a passenger in Fodge’s truck, Katherine A. Fodge, 70, of Bloomfield, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
